    A daft question perhaps...

I don't think you can. 64 bit software is made to work with 64 bit architecture, a 32 bit OS wouldn't understand the instructions. You might be able to install VirtualBox or some other virtualization software that allows emulation of a 64 bit OS (if you don't have a 64bit windows CD you'd need...

    My tic-tac-toe display/core

It's possibly something sneaky like an uninitialized variable. If you aren't familiar with the debugger, get stuck in - the time spent learning how to use a debugger properly easily pays off.

Why I want YOU to pray

That's begging the question don't you think? What makes you think prayer works? If you are basing this on yourself only, a sample size of 1 is not a good enough indicator. Any referenced studies proving that the type of praying you described works?

Evidence for God - SPLIT STOPIC

Re: What evidence would you accept? Oh god TruthIsLife... This is a rant  I'd say you were having a laugh, but you seem to have put far too much effort into it for me to believe that. Here is why my position of not having a belief in god is rational: I have not...

Problem with youtube and chrome store with google chrome

The developer console showed that some javascript files weren't loading - but the same URL would load in another browser. We tried turning off "Predict network actions to improve page load performance" in the settings but that didn't make a difference. So I'm stumped.

Problem with youtube and chrome store with google chrome

I don't know. Try bringing up the developer console (F12) and reload and see if any errors pop up there. Errors would appear in the console (click the second button in the very bottom left corner). You could also check to see if the css files are actually being loaded by clicking in the...

Re: Reverend whinging about "Christian persecution" in the U The ratings of the comments on that article are exactly backwards.

I'm playing through Portal 2, after recently completing Portal 1. The Co-op mode is a lot of fun.

    Who's lying now?

You must have missed the last few posts :) I agree ImprobableJoe. I'll only observe from now on (my last reply was flat out ignored anyway). 'evidence or proof' indeed.

    Cool Nature Videos

I present the Cuttlefish! "I guess if you've spent the last 100 million years as an unprotected, unshelled, naked lump of delicious protein surrounded by predators, you learn a thing or two about camouflage."...

    Who's lying now?

Nice post Laurens! Deluxe: The theory of evolution is correct regardless of the origin of the cells (which you keep mentioning) - they could have been created by a god, or engineered by aliens. Just like if there's evidence of gravity, the origin of matter is irrelevant, the theory still works...

    Who's lying now?

I'm pretty sure this is self deception. I'm going to be a massive jerk here and roleplay as deluxe who mysteriously starts telling the truth:

    Who's lying now?

deluxe, are you asking questions to learn or are you attempting to use the Socratic method to teach us that evolution isn't real? I hope you're not doing the latter because your questions are basic, irrelevant and/or show misunderstandings of evolution (for example how you anthropomorphize...

    Who's lying now?

What's needed is something that can reproduce and pass on its traits - which I guess would be a primitive cell.

    F**ked up dreams

I've had some F**ked up dreams. I love them, I've written a fair amount of them down. Dream One: There was a horse at bottom of the stairway in my mothers house. I was playing with it for a while - it was running up and down the stairs like an excited dog. It had a long neck. I eventually...

    Scientific Gaming Journals?

New AI techniques don't usually emerge from game programmers, the game programmers 'merely' implement/adapt/apply established AI techniques like alpha beta/neural networks/genetic algorithms/A star. When someone invents a new AI technique it's nearly always broad enough to be applied to things...

    Debate Comments: Bible or Atheism

I'm not impressed so far. Here are my feelings: + 10,000 words is ridiculous, and the subject is sprawling all over the place. A good debate shouldn't have people rambling for hours. Make a good point and let the opponent counter it. The debate should drill down to the cause of contention, not...
