F**ked up dreams

Last night I had a dream in which I was sitting outside in my front garden talking to a friend and looking up at the sky. Suddenly I saw a large fleet of space craft - resembling a cross between the millennium falcon and a star destroyer. It was strange at first because I thought to myself in the dream 'This can't be right, I'm supposed to be skeptical about this, but there's a fucking huge fleet of space craft in the sky - how can I explain that!' (this was before I realised I was dreaming... Then I ran indoors and shut all the windows and locked myself in. I can't remember what happened next but I woke up pretty soon afterwards.

I had an even more fucked up dream the other day though. The details are a bit hazy, but it involved me getting the word NEANDERTHAL tattooed in big letters on my forearm, and a talking chocolate bar.

Had any notable dreams lately? Post them here, or discuss the nature of dreaming and whatnot...

This was quite a while ago. I drew this the following morning because I was bored and thought it might be interesting to see how well I could remember it...

...it made sense whilst it was happening.

On a related note, my earliest memories are recurring nightmares from when I was between 18 months and 2 1/2 years old. They always followed some similar line. I would be doing some activity, then there would be a sound a bit like an air raid siren and a police car. It would get louder until these fucking things would burst into the room:

D:

For those unfamiliar, the Talking Trees of Mothercare would greet people as they entered Mothercare stores (selling baby and toddler clothes, bedding, bottles etc) during the '90s. They were supposed to be child-friendly, but mentally scarred me.

The trees would come in and basically kill me in one way or the other (by eating or weird nightmare WTF-ish stuff). Sometimes there would be a good tree who would get blasted away or otherwise killed as it tried to defend me.

Yeah, my subconscious is fucked up

The only weird dream i can remember was uhm.. long time ago.. pretty embarassing actually and i have no idea what it represents.
It is about dragon balls.. the sayans or however they are called (been a while) were teaching me to fly and i was so fucking lame.. while they were swirling around like some humminbirds on fire, i must have looked like a floating turtle or something.. then i started falling down and that's it, i woke up still feeling like i am falling :?
I remember i had that feeling after waking up quite a few times when i was younger and i thought that must have something to do with my acrophobia.

About Lauren's dreams, first one is weird, glad i don't have such dreams to make me think of imperial church fleets taking over the world again and me hiding under my bed :(
But the Neanderthal one... hmm good idea for a tattoo! Maybe a Neanderthal swinging a club or something like that, thanks!

@nasher dude.. seriously.. you just showed that kids shouldn't be watching animal planet too soon and that we need more friendly toys and deco for kid's rooms

* Googles Animal Planet*
I can't see any issue there... it's just animals killing each other on TV. Nowhere near as scary as a 7 foot high tree that starts talking in a deep voice and moving about when you go into a shop. Especially when you're 2 feet high D:
Ironically, it was the trip to the shop to buy toys and deco that gave me the nightmares

Oh i thought they bought one for your room haha
my parents would have done anything to keep me out of their bedroom at night (i like to think that is because i have cold feet  ) so they tried their best to give me happy thoughts and a nice environment when i go to sleep :D

I've murdered people in my dreams... It's really unsettling to look at someone who you just murdered in a dream a few hours ago.

I dream and remember my dreams every night, and more often than not, I experience lucid dreaming. But there's a negative side to lucid dreaming...

Last week I was kinda stressed out, and I had one of those dreams where I am fully aware I'm dreaming, and throw out my little tricks to manipulate its' direction. If I thought hard enough about something it was likely to happen. Unfortunately, at the same time my mind was churning out all kinds of negative things, so if for a single instance I thought "centipedes" then lo, they appeared. By the end I was being chased down by a violent guy and all my locks and doors had shattered, while every single surface of my house was swarming with worms, centipedes, spiders, rats, mice, and disembodied walking hands trying to grab my ankles. Evidently, my mind was in negative mode and there was no way I could fix it. Finally I said "*#@* this, I'm waking up" and gave up on the whole catastrophe. :D

It's not my most bizarre dream, but it's my most recently bizarre dream.

My most recently bizarre dream I can't remember. It's just fleeting images of weirdness. I can however remember two dreams from my childhood.

The first I had only once, I dreamt it after my mom (single parent) had scolded me and I felt like I had not a friend in the world. I was 7 or so. I dreamt of my grandfather who used to own a big ship at the time. In my dream he was some crazy ass pirate, said he didn't know me and tied me to the figurehead of the ship. The water was pretty cold...

My oldest crazy dream was a nightmare. I can't even properly explain it because it's so crazy... Think of the "little prince" and his tiny planet. Now imagine walking on that. Suddenly a big hole opens up and you fall into the planet, then through the planet and then you continue to tumble through space. (Gravity wtf?) Suddenly various forms and shapes appear but they feel different to what they look. For example there's a tiny triangle in my hand but it feels like a huge cylinder.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the stuff I was afraid of when I was six.

That sounds pretty profound for a six-year-old.

I still remember in vivid detail the nightmare that earmarked my graduation to lucid dreaming at five years old, and it was about Gilligan and his zombie castaways. It's hardly as intellectual. :)

The dreams before that were murderous pink stuffed turtles and other toys gone bad, along with the obligatory abandonment dream.

I had a very disturbing dream once, in which I was walking around the changing rooms in a swimming pool and shooting people in the ankles with an Uzi. I think I had been playing too much GoldenEye at the time.

Yes, but have you two eaten people?

Nope but I did have a dream where I apprehended a mugger and skinned their arm with a cut throat razor...

I've had some F**ked up dreams. I love them, I've written a fair amount of them down.

Dream One:
There was a horse at bottom of the stairway in my mothers house. I was playing with it for a while - it was running up and down the stairs like an excited dog. It had a long neck. I eventually realised it had a cats face...the same size as a normal cats.

Dream/Nightmare Two:
I was laid on my bed and noticed there were some very strange shadows on the wall/ceiling. The shock made me wake up, but I was in an even stranger place - it was still night but I was in a court with coloured sunshades.
I could hear people talking to me that weren't in the dream and I realised it was my family. I wondered why I could hear when I was asleep. I understood that a part of my brain had taken over my body and was taking part in normal day to day life and had trapped 'me' in dreams. The process kept repeating - I kept 'waking up' into another dream, and realising I was still trapped with no way out. I felt despair knowing I'd be trapped forever.
That was one of my scariest dreams.

I've had more dreams about zombies than there are zombie films. Oddly, I've never quite been bitten. I also once had a dream about a city hidden under a massive duvet, buried beneath a nuclear ravaged Earth. A friend and I had been out scavenging or similar, and this huge dragon-man-thing started swooping down toward us. We headed for the duvet hot-footed. After lifting the duvet to get under, the dragon-man-thing landed on the stairs in front of us (the duvet had fallen down slowly allowing him entrance). He folded up his wings, and we suddenly realised he was our leader!

At that point I fell out of the bed and screamed while my girlfriend's dad came in with a baseball bat. Lol.

I also had one where Cerberus followed me into a block of flats and ate my arm with a speed usually associated with space travel. That one was weird. The flats were in Battersea.

I sometimes think my life is a dream.....

I suppose that fits this thread.

But then again people generally annoy me, so.........

I'm guessing if people annoy you in it then it can't really be classified as a "dream." Man, you're depressing.
