The Witcher 2

When everybody was hating on the ME3 ending, and rightfully so, many gamers cited The Witcher 2 as an example of how to make your decision count properly. In general, The Witcher 2 was getting a lot of love. It is not as great as I had expected, but definitely a very good game.

Switching between Ratchet: Deadlocked and Stuntman. The Ratchet and Clank series is awesome, with great replayability and a sense of novelty while sticking to the sweet core aspects of the game through each title (exploration, leveling and upgrading weapons, evocative environments). Deadlocked is a bit different than the others, as it focuses more on the combat and weapons while taking away some of the open feel to the worlds and all but removes the in depth story. Im enjoying it, but find myself missing the other half of the game, and retain my decision that Going Commando (RaC2) was their best production.

I got done playing all the traditional games in the series except for 1 and Quest for Booty. I really liked Going Commando, but the Groovitron in ACIT + the frenzy of disco dancing penguins in 720p detail puts a smile of satisfaction on my face.

I've been meaning to import an EU copy of Quest for Booty since it's download only here in the US. :x

Replaying through the first 3 Silent Hill games. Damn if they aren't still the best thriller/chiller games ever made.

I'd like to replay them as well but I can't find the PC version of 2 for a good price. I have them all on PS2, but I wanna play them in HD and the SH HD collection for consoles seems to suffer from a lot of suck.

As for what I"m currently playing: Mario galaxy 2 on the Dolphin Emulator.

Sort of several years behind, no? Fin Fang Foom!
I know, but seeing as I got the lot for under 10 euros, I can't complain. And I mean the lot,the whole half life series.

I have all the Total War series, Half Life, Half Life 2, Sins of a Solar Empire, and so on.
If I like the game, I'll legit buy it and merge it onto Steam.
If I can't, then I don't feel bad because if it's not on Steam I'm not paying for that shit - I only buy Console Games from a store.

if you're not paying for it, you shouldn't be playing it, period.

I buy Indie games - where the living of the makers actually hinge on the selling of copies of a game.
If it's a good game, like Portal, Portal 2, Half-Life 2, Total War, Age of Empires, etc. then I'll buy it. If it's a shitty game then I didn't waste my money on a poorly-made product or production, and I most likely didn't finish it. And if I can't get it anymore, then downloading it is the only way to handle it properly.
I'll cough up cash when it';s something like Minecraft or Mount and Blade - where it's made by designers raw and most likely ended up eating today because I bought it.

But this is the wrong place to have this discussion. I made a topic for it: Piracy

If it is a shitty game then you can wait three weeks and read the reviews and not be a criminal thief.

I got through HL2 just recently. I then got some way through ep. 1 and got stuck at some point with infinite spawning enemies. Frustrated me and I moved on to something else. I might get back to it and try to grind my way past that part at some point, but I'm not in the mood for the frustration right now...

So you haven't done Ep. 2? Then you're missing out. :)

Oh, and tell us where you got stuck and maybe we can help!

Nope. Only reason I played it in the first place was because my friend gifted the games to me on Steam. I suppose Ep. 2 is something I should try now that the Orange box physical copy is pretty cheap on Amazon, but I'd like to get through Ep. 1 first.

Anyway, I'm stuck at the part where you have to escort some friendlies through some pretty thick cross fire (Alyx is on a turret). I got through a couple of rounds well enough, but I'm at the point where an armored truck starts firing rockets at you. It wouldn't be too difficult if it weren't for the numerous platoons of foot soldiers they put in your way. I either get insta-fragged by the truck as I go all Rambo on the foot soldiers, or the they gang up on my position and doggy pile on me as I try not to get my ass thoroughly blow'd up.

It did not include portal but I did get Half-Life, Half-Life Blue Shift, Half-Life Opposing force, Half-Life Source, Team Fortress (the original), Half-Life Deathmatch, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, and Half-Life 2 Lost Coast with the rest of the Half-Life 2 series.
