The stupidest thing a creatonist has ever said to you

arg-fallbackName="theatheistguy"/>
"If science is so great then why cant they explain how bee's fly?"

There is no amount of facepalming that can make up for this.

I know the feeling, theatheistguy.

I have been having this discussion with creationist at YT. I explained why and how creationists are anti scinec, disregarding large chunks of wide variety of sciences. So this creationist, stekitch , counters this by arguing that if I'm anti bush I'm anti democracy.
derviedape, U arent just opposing Bush, u are opposing the major chunks of the whole bunches of democracy.

Bush is to democracy as evolution is to science. its a PERFECT analogy. How do u not see that? UR argument is competely hollow.

I've heard that before. I told them to stop getting their science education from animated Seinfeld movies.

[*]"Radiometric dating doesn't work because ante-diluvian people had nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons and the radiation from that reset atomic clocks."
The best part was when he cited Hindu holy books as proof of the prehistoric nukes.

[*]"The only kind of evolution I believe in observed evolution, like babies evolving into adults."
"That isn't evolution, idiot"
"Yes it is! It's change over time!"

This whole article is fantastic as well: http://creationwiki.org/index.php/Bible_scientific_foreknowledge
I love citing the young earth as proof the bible is more knowledgeable than scientists.

I found this on that site you linked to:

"Given the many diseases associated with homosexuality, the Bible prohibition against homosexuality is arguably one of the many examples where scientific foreknowledge in the Bible was exhibited"

I forgot, I also really liked something to the effect of "It's funny that the only thing skeptics aren't skeptical of is skepticism."

I wrote back a reply asking if we should instead question our decision to question our decisions and rather consider not considering anything before leaping to a conclusion. It was pretty difficult to wrap my head around.

Luckily, it's satire. It says so in the description. This was still the funniest video I've seen in a long time.

Unfortunately, I can't find the thread anymore but I swear that at Christian Forums, someone tried to rebut claims that he was misrepresenting his opponent with "strawman arguments are valid arguments."

There needs to be something uncaused. If you have a string of causes that created the universe eventually something has to start it all. Uncaused means outside of time, outside of time means unchanging. Unchanging means eternal. To end is a change, to start is a change. To trigger is not a change but not to whatever started it but in time. The creator doesn't need to change.
Since the creator is unchanging, the creator needs to be intelligent in order to trigger the start.
Therefore God exists.

No we aren't. Similar biology means nothing. (in reference to humans being animals)

If you're beliefs are against it, why do you need to be educated about it?

All from the same guy. The last two were actually from the same topic. 10 points to anyone who can figure out what that topic was about.

They're saying at fstdt that even the other christians are making fun of him now. ^^ Can someone copy those over? That sounds hilarious.

Anyway, another silly form of arguing is when they show you quote-mined videos, like the "Dawkins gets stumped" one and stuff. One guy recently sent me this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx-oVqCkzMc&feature=channel_page
I mean, dude, how naive did he have to be to fall for that one? You can see all the cuts where stuff was edited out. And he honestly believed that that "darwinist", after being asked a question that was too difficult for him, had just silenly got up and walked away. That's not even normal human behavior.
(Here's a more complete version, but it's hard to hear: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_wCHVC9uRs )

Ok thank you my hope in humanity has been restored!

Hard to decide, the first one that comes to mind is simply the idea that the Earth is 6,000 years old. (Or 12k, whichever).

There are hundreds of ways anyone can identify that the Earth and universe simply have to be older than that. I mean, we've discovered living organisms that are older than that
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clonal_colonies

And they're implying all the geologists and astronomers are making this up.

Of course they say this all the time. I don't talk that much with creationists luckily, so I guess I've managed to dodge some things that are on the level of stupidity other people in this thread have heard.

I love it! This is the classic paranormal defense:

Dude, you aren't qualified to make such pronouncements.

And then, dude, he goes on to make ludicrous pronouncements about other worlds and dimensions and magical beings. We are to presume, then, that he is fully qualified.

I like it so much, it is now in my sig.
