Hi,
just to give you a small update: Jasons threat against all 'atheist' youtubers, if they don't all together start behaving until the 10h of April, will be letters send to Cameron (UK) + Obahma (USA) for them to make sure that the atheists are being stopped for offending human rights. (sauce)

On another note: he now advanced towards sharing his views and suggestions on world politics / coming wars and new power establishments in the near and far east.

Why doesn't someone else offer the use of our debate forum for a one-on-one with Jason?

I considered it, but as I mentioned previously I'm a long time "follower" of Jason and I know how he works, Usually he offers the debate challenge, someone accepts (I've done this several times) and then he proceeds to make cowardly excuses as to why he won't debate said individual. In my case it was because I'm a "Hardcore" atheist. The reality is that I spoke with him several times on Skype and let's just say he didn't fare well. Jason frequently, and often loudly, claims that he wants to debate atheists, but as soon as he discovers that atheists do not agree with his views, suddenly he doesn't want to debate them any more, because they disagree with him. I have tried explaining to Jason that debates usually take place between two proponents of opposing views on the subject matter, and that people who agree don't usually see any need to debate, as that would largely entail sitting around telling each other how much you agree with what they are saying. This is completely lost on Jason.
He will always make some excuse to weasel his way out of any debate, he's been offered/challenged plenty, but no debate or even dialogue has really taken place. Written exchanges don't work with Jason, other than to leave permanent evidence of his inability to hold a discussion or support anything he says, available for all to see, preserved in digital format on forums such as this one. However, "live" discussions such as Skype don't work with Jason either. Where an immediate response is required, and he can be nailed down and squeezed about any point he cares to make, it's more difficult for him to weasel his way out if it's "live" - so instead he throws all his toys out of the pram and hangs up instead. Conclusion? Nothing works with Jason.

I'll happily wager all my worldly possessions that if someone contacts him and get's him to agree to a debate here, no such debate will take place, instead every reply Jason leave's (should he leave any at all) will be more beating about the bush (on fire or otherwise) and general dodging and failing to respond to anything on topic.

On the day that Jason intends to submit his paper, I won't have time to read it. I have one presentation to give to the University of North Texas in Denton the next day, and another at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge this weekend. The very first opportunity I'll have to look at it will be a week from today. By then I suspect most everyone else here will have read it, and they will be able to tell me whether it included evidence indicating the existence of (1) souls, (2) deity, (3) magic, (4) a supernatural realm, and (5) any evidence to show that the Bible is more accurate than the scriptures of other elder religions.

I would bet that a week from today, I will log into this site and see several posts talking about how Jason failed to meet any of these criteria. Thus he will have failed the burden of proof necessary to shut me up about Christianity not having any evidence to support it, and I will have 'won' this discussion without even having to participate in it.

Of course the possibility exists that Jason could actually submit evidence supporting Christianity, just as the possibility exists that the prime minister will receive Jason's letter and pass it off to President Obama, and the powers that be will descend upon me forcing me to apologize to Jason. This will probably happen during the same ceremony where they grant Jason the Nobel prize. But somehow I rather doubt that second scenario.

I would expect that -given the limit of choices- it would have to be for peace, even though it should be for physics, and we know that Jason is limited to literature.

I would suggest that he not jump right into proving Christianity straight away. He should do it in steps. First show that magic works. Then show that there is a supernatural plane. Then show that souls transcend these two planes. Then show that a god exists, and THEN show that it is the Christian god. Simply concluding at the onset that your favorite fables are completely correct requires too many prior assumptions. But were Jason to show evidence of ANY of these things would warrant a Nobel prize, right?

Considering the clout Jason seems to have with the British prime minister and the President of the United States, we could have it anywhere he wants. Considering the nature of Jason's discovery, I think we could just as well have the ceremony in Narnia.

Jason is a clown. Was this a video of genuine intent, or a spot of theatre, with endless encores yet to come?

My guess would be the latter.

I'd say it's still very possible that some form of paper arises. Perhaps the chances are 50 - 50 at best and admittedly, I'd place my money on the paper getting lost in cyber space, being eaten by the cat or being in the same envelope as one of his international warnings to the PM or the President, but I wouldn't discount it. Stranger things have happened on his channel.

The 'Burns cycle' is once again almost complete.

The next and final step will be for Jason to close down his current 'AtheismExamined' YouTube channel while simultaneously launching a brand new channel to which he will upload swathes of similar pseudo-academic rubbish.
This will be accompanied by bitter complaints that 'militant atheists' caused him to lose over two thousand of his current videos.
And so a new cycle begins.

I foresee a day when the 'Burns cycle' will be taught to undergraduate students alongside other well known cycles such as the Krebs cycle, the carbon cycle, the nitrogen cycle, and the water cycle.
