Analyzing the resurrection of Christ in light of Harris’ filter of evidence, it is “scarcely conceivable” that several hundred eyewitnesses (1 Corinthians 15:6) of the resurrected Christ simply concocted the story to further their agenda.
Correct. What's much more conceivable is that a few guys made up the "several hundred eyewitnesses".
it is inconceivable that the resurrection of Christ is a hoax.
Correct again. It's more likely a fictional story made up years after any real events it was based on.

Assuming the clearly fictional details of the New Testament were real and insisting they be explained on that basis is a red herring. It's not necessary to explain how "several hundred eyewitnesses" "concocted the story" because they didn't. We don't have any of their stories, we have one man telling about the eyewitnesses. They didn't concoct anything because they never existed.

no doubt on your doubt ;) [resp. dito]

Thx for providing the time stamps. I didn't have the time nor nerv to check that in detail, but a 15min vid is already a 'chunk'. And regarding it might had to be processed afterwards as well, I think Jay had been on tenterhooks awaiting the first response to drop in to serve as go-ahead. - oh whatever

Its a good thing Jay is on sabbatical or there would be many more videos on atheism to watch.. oh wait... a break means you don't post ANY so I suppose the sabbatical is finished ? that couple of years went by awefully fast :)

oh and Jay , I am still banned from your site , how can you redeem my soul and show me the path to salvation if I can't talk to you ?

A word of advice Jason, only post the paper in one place, I hate downloading multiple copies to check they are the same, and please post it in a machine readable format like a pdf file. Open Office would also be fine.

Have a nice day Jay, love the haircut. :?

Here's a thought. Since Jason is an awesome academic presence and such a master debater that I'm afraid to engage him in a live format, I wonder what would happen if he were to contact answersingenesis about my debate against them this August? What if Jason offered to stand in for Ken Ham? I shudder to think, what would I do? I mean if Jason Burns were to join forces with someone like Andrew Snelling, Walter Vieth, or Jobe Martin, in the same room and face-to-face against a couple of Freethought bloggers, I might have to concede defeat by default. Because what chance would P.Z. Myers and I have against a duo like that?

Great... my sarcasm meter just blew up.

Thanks, Aron!

Hasn't Jason already paired up with that youtube powerhouse NephilimFree ? what better duo could you ask for ?

"I give you a soleomn warning, bro', stay away from the paper, as you'll get demolished. Ok?

Just stay away or you'll get demolished. You'll get intellectually crushed. Ok? So just forget about it.
'Cos - I'm not saying it - but you're not in my league when it comes to New Testament scholarship - and it is just as simple as that.
...
Unless you're a professional theologian you haven't got a chance in takin' me on. So - it's just as simple as that.
Not boasting it - it's just a fact."

The paper itself seems to be on the way, but as I already thought - it's just a heavy load to install all the quoted references online manually.
[sarcasm]And due to the unusual amount of wonderful sunshine in UK he now wears protective clothing indoors.[/sarcasm] ;)

I thought he had a secretary who typed all his crap. Then he made a video of himself starting to type it up last month. Well, at least selecting a nice font for the title. Has anyone suggested Comic Sans?

He's obviously just dragging it out until everyone loses interest. I think we're almost there.

Posturing, bluffing, puffing, and projecting, so full of fear.

Nephy wears those huge headphones and Jason now wears a cap to prevent heatstroke (I think thats what he said) . apparently the short hair cut is causing his head to overheat in the sun.

Jason is releasing his paper in weekly installments. Do we disect each bit as it comes , or wait for the whole thing ?

And Yes , his secretary seems to have disappeared. Amazing really that a secretary would not have a good word processor. Maybe theres a religious ban on computers ?

It would be unfair to expect new readers to slog through 27 pages to get to the good stuff, so I've split off the thread.

The discussion continues here.
