Guest post:“Common design” vs consilience of independent phylogenies

Rumraket smashes it out of the park.

There are a number of places that reference diagrams or exhibits but are not showing up for me. Basically all of the trees constructed. Is this on my end or is everyone else having the same issue?

It's been spotted, and the relevant diagrams have been provided. I will upload them in the morning.

No, thank you, mate. Really excellent work.

I'm still finding annoying grammatical and spelling errors, and other typing mistakes and fragments of earlier versions of the article. Oh well, the central message gets through I suppose.

There are a few, but don't worry - just blame Hack!

lol.

I'll go through it with a fine-toothed comb later. I have a guest piece to finish form somebody else's blog first.

And now for something completely different:

A Light in the Black

This is a guest post I penned for the blog of a good friend. It's a huge departure from my usual oeuvre, being about art. Given the necessity for clarity and exactitude of my usual output, this was a welcome chance to stretch my legs somewhat in terms of language. It's about a visit to see a painting.

In two minds about sharing this, and I haven't linked it on the front page of my blog. I'm not in a very good place at the moment, but better than I was yesterday.

I am curios, how can you talk about suicide if you don’t believe in free will (or will)?

By definition suicide implies that you decided to kill yourself. In other words suicide implies that you had the option not to kill yourself and decided to kill yourself anyway.
