Happy to mention the site (not sure of the rules, still haven't read the FAQ)

You can link to any legal, relevant site. You can post excerpts or link/embed images and videos. We just prefer moderation (don't post whole articles, quote and cite; reams of videos, except specific video threads or use hidden tags [How-To]; motivational posters, we have a funny pictures thread for that). :D

Thanks man, I admin a forum (not on this particular topic) my self so I didn't want to be rude here, the reason I worded it like that it because although it's of course a legal site I was going to link to, it might be pushing /offtopic and I don't want to derail the thread. The site I was talking about there is www.choosinghats.com and it's possibly one of the most ridiculous apologetic sites I've encountered (that's saying something!) - feel free to collapse this because I realize this is borderline off topic. It's sort of relevant because that site advocates presup. which is something Jason supports, but I don't mind if you collapse it anyway because it detracts from Jason's paper (reckon we will ever see this "paper"?!)

Thanks very much pookylies. No need to apologise to me.

Seemed like a fun game, except that I didn't get to guess who anyone else was. I'm pretty sure that Jason is Jason101. If not then somebody has nailed his grammar and spelling to a tee. I'm pretty sure that Aronra is Aronra, although that one's a little trickier. I think that Prolescum could be David Starky, for the nips and jabs he took, but that's just a guess. Could be my old English teacher. She was pretty hot though and I didn't mind it so much when she corrected me. But, hopefully we can conclude one thing and that's that you aren't me, because I would be truly confused if I was wrong about that. If you were would I even know? There seem to be several different Jays that turn up to his channel. I'm not convinced that he knows about each of them.

Anyway, pertaining to Jay, I'm sure people will have noticed, but he's been recording the action as he writes his paper today. I was actually laughing out loud at the videos consisting largely of him looking intently at papers, whilst probably doodling pictures on a piece of paper. You've got to laugh. Surely he's having a bit of a joke. Nearly two hours of him shuffling sheets and sketching what I imagine might be pictures of cheeseburgers and Aronra. Would the forum accept pictures, or does this paper have to be in words?

If he wants to submit pictures we have a creative subforum specifically for that. Alternatively there's the funny pictures thread. Probably more apt.

If this guy is truly mentally ill, do any of you think it is a good idea to bully him or make fun of him?

I don't think it's a good idea to bully him at all.

I don't know if he's mentally ill or just craves attention. Either way you have a good point. I'm done with him.

I said I would not post again until Jay presented his paper.

After seing this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNghSlPk1AQ

i have some doubts about ever seeing it.

I see Jay played by Chuck Heston in the movie. Not sure of AronRa ?

Both. He desperately craves attention, but he is also clearly delusional. Non-bizarre delusions, but definitely delusions of exaggerated self-importance and so on. This is also indicated by his near-complete inability to conduct any sort of normal conversation. He shows little or no situational awareness. His pretend world is all he has.

This might sound mean, but what exactly IS Jay's forte? His videos are quite dreadful, his reasoning flawed, ... What's left?
Comedy. The ass crack video was... unforgettable.
I managed to screw up the quote attribution in that reply on the last page and it looked like I was replying to Pookylies instead of Inferno as was intended. I can no longer edit it, so I want to clear that up here.

Apologies for that, Pookylies, my bad. I'm not usually that bad at editing quotes. Sometimes.

If a moderator could fix it or delete it, that would be great, thanks.

Fixed.

But it sounds strange that you wouldn't be able to edit it.

(Is there some regular-user-restriction that I'm not aware of, in all of my forum mod omnipotence?)

Yes indeed and I checked mine and found the edit-button along all of them except for this previous one on here.

Besides I tried to test if reaching a posting via 'Show your posts' from the control panel could make a difference, but there I found that my postings aren't listed - only just the threads they're in. Can this be changed in some setting?
sorry for stretching this [OT] ~ greets

addendum: just found out one has to use the standart search feature to find ones own postings. Well seems the older phpBB was more user-friendly. [eotvs]

Vivre:
If, instead of clicking on "My Account" at the top of the page, you click on your name (in any thread), you'll get a different mask. For example, my profile shows the option "Search user's posts". Click on that and you can see all the 1450+ posts I've made.
From there on you click on the "Re: topic" bit and it takes you immediately to the post in question.

Inferno
~ big thanks - that was exactly what I'd tried to find :)

and to conclude my above test: no it doesn't make a difference for the 'editabilty' of a posting reaching it via control panel

I havn't watched all this video yet, but at the start of it Jay says he's going to read some excerpts from his upcoming essay.

4 DAYS TO GO OMGZ

EDIT If you don't want to hear Jay repeating the accusations against AronRa and this forum that he already has done about six hundred times, the paper excerpt starts at 31.50

arg-fallbackName="Hamster"/>
Jay has confirmed his paper for the 10th and promised to end the witch hunts and demonization of christians on youtube if you nasty elite atheist leaders dont stop.

I admit to a morbid curiosity about what he thinks he can do.

Why doesn't someone else offer the use of our debate forum for a one-on-one with Jason?

I would love to debate jason, on any topic. I would take any stance he wanted me two, and in day or so be willing to debate. The question is, if it is not for the love of knowledge why debate?

To answer your question, I pose another question:

How does one get to Carnegie Hall?
