He should have stepped down a week ago and perhaps moved to Saudi Arabia. He's had a long run and could have bowed out at least semi-gracefully. Not now, though. If the protesters make it a true revolution, he'll likely be killed if he keeps this up.
This strikes me as depressingly true. If he could have held out long enough, eventually the lack of productive happenings (e.g., moving of food and water) might have become too large a cost and resulted in a general end to the protest. It would have ultimately secured his power because whenever anyone thought of revolting again they would just see large staggering costs and low likelihood of actual change...nasher168 said:Arrgh!
