Is anyone still careful about Covid-19 or do you guys just treat it like the flu and as if it never happened?

At this point, I treat it like the flu and get vaccinated against it. I still wear masks when grocery shopping, mainly because I can now. I have always liked not showing my face too much anyways. If my local grocery store did not always mess up my pickup order, that would be the primary way I shopped now.

Hard to act like it never happened when it caused over a million people to die, and it caused me tons of stress because I could not finish my Masters while everything was in lockdown from it.

I treat it as a virus that, like influenza, is ubiquitous and potentially life-threatening. I don't panic over it, but I take reasonable precautions, like wearing a mask in places where a lot of people gather.

Only if I'm going into a place where I can't keep a reasonable bubble of space around me. Social distancing is pretty much a way of life for me anyway.

If it wasn’t for covid i was happy too, because off all the countermeasures the flu was just gone if people would do the same now the flu would be gone.

No i want that people wash their hands and so on. Do you know the difference between an Asian person and a western person. The Asian person when sick they use a mask straight away, they are much more mindful then a westren person that shouts its my right this and that not to wear a mask.

I’m not sure I agree with that - my relatives in India were claiming that COVID isn’t a big deal even though news sources reported many cases. You must know that Modi arrested anyone who posted the truth on social media, right? Even ppl posting begging for masks were arrested. And some weren’t aware and believed the propaganda.

Unless you are referring to the UK? I still disagree. Ppl who did follow and didn’t follow rules were of mixed backgrounds from what I remember. But then again maybe my recollection is wrong

Same here the government is deaf to what the opposition is saying. Even worse they broke the law in some places.

Well where a nation of 17.5 million people (Netherlands) we have a system in place to support people but it has failed miserably, in such a way that the government is paying out restitution. We call it “de toeslagen affaire” translated “the surcharge affair”. Its so bad that children where taken from their homes because the surcharge needed to be paid back and parents where struggling to keep a float. The taking of children was done by another government agency. The government first denied it then said yes it happened then resigned and they came back into power (we have multi party system) the same once that did all this. 256 children died 62 by suïcide excluding the parents that killed themselves. The government broke 17 laws and they need to repair laws so it can never happen again. After 16 months no laws are altered, they did not even start with it.
