Just curious to see what everyone here does for a living and what field they are in, or what everyone studies in order to do. I presume there will be a majority of science related people here.

Me, I am an economics major in university.

No success story here...did 2 years sciences and 2 years social-technical sciences in high school (not the US system, but European system) and then went on to college to be a teacher in English and History...but teaching isn't quite my thing...I looked for something else to do, related to history, but nothing on the same level and university is a little out of my league, so today I'll sign out of college and start looking for a job. Heck, maybe I can go from door to door on a Sunday morning, bothering people about Evolution, while begging the internet for money...:p

Last year of a degree in biotech, looking to get into biofuels in the future.

Physics and astronomy degree here, though I don't work in the field. Almost went into palaeontology, which would have involved a lot on evolution.

T_T I wish I could list something but sadly my only skills involve massage... writing... and an intense love of science.

I'm currently in High school getting a lot of science subjects. I hope to go directly to university when I'm done here, to study particle physics.

Multimedia Design degree, nothing science related, all pretty pictures, sound and animation... Always had a thing for web design as a hobby, went into that as my first job and have gone from there, now working as a web designer and developer and have learned a fair few programming languages on the job. My intension is to be able to bring my web development skills up to the same level as my design skills and continue to develop them both :)

I was a metallurgical lab tech for a bunch of years, and now I'm a full time student in computer engineering.

Indeed, I wonder how this would do on a creationist forum..."I'm a priest...I'm a priest too...I'm a missionary...I'm PCS, worship me...I have a PhD in Creation Science..."

Probably not, it would go something like "I live of donations!" "Oh yeah? I live of welfare 'cause I can't get no job" "Well I've worked at Taco Bell for the last ten years, soon I'll get a promotion to junior manager!". "I go to bible school because my parents forced me to, and I'm prob to lazy to become a priest anyways..."

Heh, I only have a B.A. in illustration. But I could have easily have decided to go into the sciences over art.

It would be more about comparing phony degrees from diploma mills... "I have a degree in Biblical Biology from Lower Mongolia Theology University and Animal Husbandry Clinic."

I'm a Mech Eng (probably why I generally can't string a sentence together) mostly specilising in Spacecraft Thermal and Mechanical Design. Although lately I'm doing more lithography machine design (thermo-mechanical stability work) for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Very cutting edge tech but I miss working on Satellites...

Still doing A-Levels, but hoping to go into University to study either Marine Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Conservation Biology or Ecology. I really have no idea further than that.

on my way to a BS in Accounting and an MBA. On the side I also like to edumacate myself on science topics such as evolution and cosmology, as well as an interest in the way humans think and grow.

High school... interested mainly in biology but I am open (and trying to study) any area of science- I just love it all.

Going to college for an AA with emphases in Architecture and Music. Then on to the university level.

By the time I'm 40 I'd like to have a Ph D. in both of them. Drafting, design, you know, general M Arch III stuff for the Architecture, and Theory for the Music doctorate, because I can. I plan to get both doctorates at the same university, but study Music at another and get my Master at it, then transfer over because the university doesn't yet offer the doctorate level degree (we'll have to see, though).

I could have gone into the sciences easily. Either Marine Biology (or Marine Ecology) or Astro-Physics (which correlates with my 'hobby' in theoretical physics (the one I don't have the math background to do), the speculation kind, without the mathematics to back it all up. That I leave to the actual theoretical physicists). I also easily could have gone into History or the Humanities. Those are two I'm rather interested in anyways, and I usually take up any class that has to do with either.
