Religious or superstitious people often have problems accepting that there might not be any deeper purpose in what they are doing, and many people can't cope with the fact that their lives might really be insignificant compared to eternity, with the world not revolving around Earth, humanity and God. What they seem to neglect is that this doesn't mean that they can't enjoy their lives and that what they are doing does in fact have an impact on the people around them. We're born, so why not make the best of it?

And with all the tension on this board lately, I thought it might be a nice idea for everyone who likes to just share the every-day things they enjoy in life, things that make you relaxed and cope with all the insane shit that happens every day. Not the special things that you accomplish in your life, just the little things ;) I'll go first:

* A cold beer or two or three
* Being with my girlfriend and doing absolutely nothing.
* Not agreeing with my girlfriend and disputing stuff with her.
* Not agreeing with people in general
* Coding
* Being right about things
* Being wrong about things - because it means I've just learned something
* Music. Lots and lots of music.
* Sex
* Japanese green tea, as well as first flush Indian black tea.
* Breathing fresh air
* Taking a ride in my '89 Citroà«n without any target
* The coffee my girlfriend makes. Below is a picture :)
* Watching idle chatter on IRC and dropping a line every now and then.

Oh oh oh oh!!!! I forgot rain!!! I love rain! Loooove love love love love love it!


I did grow up in a desert so that isn't a surprise :p on the rare occasion it does rain here I let out a loud squeal of glee and run to throw open the door to watch the water drops hit the ground with my cats.

The rain is amazing. I love to go outside in it and just run, as fast as possible with my dogs in it. Last month it rained nearly everyday in my state. I was ecstatic :p
