Well, why not? It is an introduction to your work, is it not? If your introduction to your work shouldn't introduce us to your work, then what should it do? If it ultimately isn't relevant to your work, then why even have it? Isn't it just taking up space and touching on subjects we're just going to drop once the introduction is over?

The intro is to help people get a base to launch off into the project. I dropped off the subjects that I would talk about AND some requirement needed to avoid pseudoscience and other woo.
I do not need to explain everything in the intro because it is not an extract.

I did, I said that I am somewhat of an ANCAP, and Fuchsia Guy said "who cares, this in not a Curriculum Vitae!" and I said "Shut up! This project is about me explaining (tl;dr) "true things" and thus where I fall on the political spectrum and why. WHy shouldn't I say that in the intro?".

The intro is perfectly good as it is and if anyone wants more then they can just go forwards into the project.

We aren't getting very far here. People are unlikely to 'go forwards into the project' if the intro is problematic. We know you think it isn't, but there's really not much point in continuing this if you aren't willing to clear things up for those who are confused by it.

The 7 pages so far are almost exclusively about objections to your video/script/project/whatever on grounds that it's confusing and no one really knows what your point is. You can blame everyone else if you want, it's unlikely to stick here because the people who have expressed confusion are people I've seen engage in extreme depth on the topic you're trying to talk about, many many times. Such engagement can be found right here on this forum. If they're confused by your content, it's probably because it is confusing. They know what they're talking about.

It's an intro. Has anyone gone past it in any meaningful way?
Basically immediately after I talk about Evolution and link to Aron Ra for exact dates and names, then I explain that all humans are the same because genetics while explaining the arbitrarity of language, then I talk about cultures and societies during homo evolution...

There are A LOT of topics inside other topics in this project. Getting fixated on the intro doesn't help anyone.

Plus an appeal to popularity doesn't help anyone too. If anyone wants to demonstrate that my intro is confusing then

or just non sequiturs
or any other possible error;
pointing and laughing is not a rebuttal, nor proof.


THERE IS a point later on in the project where I have to do an hard cut to explain some definitions, but only because I found no other way to integrate it. THAT may be worthy of criticism, but not the well constructed, heavily worked on, synthetic intro.

See, people here haven't just heard those terms before, we understand what they actually mean and what's involved.
I find there are usually two types of people, with regards this sort of thing.

1 - People who know the names of logical fallacies
2 - People who know the names of logical fallacies and understand what's actually involved in committing such.

No one committed an adpop fallacy.

No one 'pointed and laughed' - they asked you for clarification.

No one appears to have any idea how to 'rebut' your positions, because they don't know what your positions even are, or what you're trying to get at. The more you continue with the stubbornness, the less likely you are to get anywhere.

There ARE people here who will GLEEFULLY engage with you at any resolution you're capable of on the general topic you want to talk about, but they can hardly do so if they have little to no idea what you're even contending.

ANCAP is part of my project the same way that the livingroom is a part of your house: it's connected to "the rest" but it doesn't mean that everything revolves around it.

Politics explains everything??? That's a rather broad brush to use. Politics is only one factor that influences a persons life, it does touch a lot of things in life, but the world does not revolve around it. Besides, what you're proposing is no better than saying everyone should be a Southern Baptist, or every one should be a communist etc. etc. in order to make the world right. I bet not everyone wants to live in an anarcho syndicalist commune.
