Stop stalking me.

Don't you see? I am ignoring you.

Talk about the topic of the thread please.

Fred the Movie's defense at least, John Cena was there.

It's only Stalking if I following you into another thread - and if you were really ignoring me you wouldn't respond.

Not that I really trust critics either .

The fact that movie got made is justification enough for a mass extinction event. As for the Doom/DS thing, that was exactly my first thought as soon as the shit movie threw in that explaination for teh evil martians.

My goodness. How can one misunderstanding be worth 4 pages of bickering?

That film looks terrible, and I don't even know who the star is. I'm assuming he's some kind of YouTube "phenomenon."

if we are making movies about youtube celebs, why not make one about AronRa. It should be made like Carl Sagan's Cosmos but then about evolution.

Nice choice. Aron is one of my favorite youtube personalities. The video ought to be about his struggle against the educational system. Hehehe.

1. I really should have read this much sooner.
2. It's easy to see where a miscommunication could arise. Actually, we could, evidently, have an entire thread on it.
3. I had the same reaction as LRkun upon seeing the image.
4. Why don't you guys use the report function. ;)

Perhaps it's prudent to avoid offending when it is probable to offend in ways that could break rules? I'm glad it is cleared up, though. ::thumbsup::

I'm guess ingthat is an mod rhetorical question, not a real question

I'd be curious either way and am open to discussing it, but it was only a suggestion at that time, to avoid really bad conflict that requires mod actions.

When unsure, I actually did a search on the image location and addresses using that location, and just about all were legitimate scientific blogs and such on neurological or medical health issues. On the internet intention isn't always obvious, there are a lot of arses, and with something controversial people may have a seed of doubt. It's absurdly somewhat healthy on the internet.

I'm deadly serious about the report function though.

Was there anything to report though? Really? It was a valid comparison, Doom made a claim that x phenomena came from giving humans an extra chromosome and Downs Syndrome is a phenomena caused by humans having an extra chromosome. If the movie has said that the superpowers or whatever that movie was trying to do said the powers come from a mutated MC1R protein on Chromosome 16, would it have been offsenseive post this image:

The joke was at the expense of the shitty writing of Doom, not at the expense of anyone with DS. There is literally nothing to be offended at.

I wouldn't find that insulting, but then again, I've willingly gone red for years. (And P's right, she's not naturally a redhead, so it's like a dig on hair dye).

Really though, no one really uses the report function and I can't be a lazy arse, because if I am, I feel bad if threads die. And then mods look very bad because it seems like they aren't doing their jobs and stuff. So - just a suggestion if something like that is getting to that point, before people start getting really very angry. It's a lot better than thread closures.

You've both just ruined my day.

:x
Well, if it helps I doubt she's blond either. :D

But just to say, reporting someone isn't like sending them to Azkaban, so it's not like a last ditch resort. It's just to flag a lazy moderator to read something, and sometimes to express one's irritation (but warnings and bans are not tallied by reports or anything). So it's not like pressing the RED button, though it can be used to call me names.

Oh, you did not just say that

As for the movie it seems like a rip-off of Forest Gump but without any of the class.

Deathkiss smiley:

I did, and it's not about the movie. The movie is like a speed read with buttered popcorn of the deep, dark literature of JK Rowling.

My reaction to the movie was similar to that of DP. (though I didn't think of the Doom example :D )
And yes, I understood his example from the very start and was scratching my head since the beginning of the idiotic derailing. Lets just say that the top of my head won't be needing a scratching ever again.
I guess it really isn't so weird that creationists won't let themselves be convinced that their world view is wrong when a petty disagreement like this just won't let itself be solved by one of the parts.

At least I got something good out of this thread:

This-- I'm keeping this.
