SKYRIMMMMMMmmmmmmm

I'm going to have around ,£1000 of student loan left over by Christmas. Guess where that's going... :D
Must. Play. Skyrim.

Having tons of fun with Skyrim! I love the little details, like being able to catch fish and bees and such, or the delicious sound of a sword being unsheathed. :)

One of my complaints would be the horses...when riding they look a bit odd. Not as fine a rendering as the horses in Oblivion, in my opinion. There's a glitch I'v e found as well where if you stand in a small pool, the horse's legs start to gyrate and wiggle. Disturbing and hilarious at the same time.

Does anyone have races that they favour in particular? I always go for a Nord or an Argonian :p

I'm just on a Dell XPS 420, couple of years old now, but has had the odd upgrade like more RAM and better graphics card.

Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
6GB dual channel ram
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB
Windows 7 Ultimate (64 Bit)

I run the game on Ultra with a few extra ini settings changed... I need to see if I can increase the shadow map size as they are a bit blocky atm. I run at 1680x1050 because my monitor is a bit poo... I do get some slowdown in Whiterun etc but not enough to make me change the settings.

Everyday I get sadder because I can't play new games :D

Well, Minecraft was released. That got my endorphins running again.

On the 360? Uh, I'd personally never play such a game with a game controller such as the one in the 360 :)

I would imagine that one would have greater control over the character's movement on a PC. I have Oblivion for the 360 and it can be a pain at times, but it still fun. That said, I have no desire to install Windows on any of my PCs, so I am stuck with the 360 version. :)

I have plenty of space, but I do not want the hassle of having a dual boot computer at this time. That might change when SWTOR gets released.

Awesome, my MBP 13'' runs it on Boot Camp, very well, medium settings.

I don't understand some things - do I become a mage or do I just train mage skills? Can we train a clusterfuck of abilities at the same time?

You define your character by what you do -
if you use magic an asston, you're a mage. If you kill things swiftly with swords, you're a twin-blade.
There's certain things you can do to advance a skill set much faster, such as going to the Mage College in Winterhold.

Look for the standing stones. You can activate 1 and your improvements go faster on certain abilities, you can swap to another stone once a day.

Okay, so can someone explain to me... how... when I'm a level 22 mage, with destruction on 53, without any armor, robes, rings, or amulets, or weapons... I'm getting absolutely 0, ZERO magicka cost? This looks like a gigantic bug.

I can dual cast Fireball as many times as I want, and my magicka regenerates in a fraction of a second.
