Ron Paul

Ya, I was unsurprised at the teathugs in the audience cheering for death, they do it quite often. Ron Paul backed off from the firm statement that his fanboys in the audience made, but still did delineate his opinion.

Ron Paul on healthcare:

"We don't want to spread death, but death is freedom and we love freedom..."

He meant "let him die" and is too much of a coward to admit the ultimate conclusion to his sociopathic beliefs.

Here's another vid with more follow up.

It's titled "Heckler interrupts Ron Paul hypothetical health care question". His cult followers find every justification for the man.

They just don't get it. Despite the visceral "Yeah!" shouted by some crow members. That's basically what his plan boils down to. "Let him die. That's what freedom's all about." He tried to backpedal with some response about churches taking care of people....and not turning people away from hospitals from the goodness of your heart and having other people foot the bill (ie. SOCIALISM). What he doesn't seem to get though is that not everyone would be as caring as this or able to take on so many sick patients without government help. I find his kind of thinking to be stupendously neive and has "Utopia" written all over it.

They get it... they just don't give a shit. They are bad fucking people, unfit for any modern society.

It's more than just 'taking care' of sick people though. That's good enough for saint-hood and would have been admirable 700 years ago, but it's the twenty first fucking century. Universal health care means if you are sick you will be treated all other considerations aside and those who can pay the cost will do so and is, as far as I'm concerned, the only morally defensible position to take in this day in age.

I don't actually know why the rich would desire it otherwise. Who wants to live in a world full of sickly poor people? Surely you want your bottom class to be wealthy enough to BUY YOUR SHIT and you want them to live long enough to do so repeatedly. There's another great benefit for big companies too, if the government is providing health care to everyone then hey, YOU DON'T HAVE TO!

Well as long as they can outsource/offshore their labor needs, they don't care if local people live, die, or turn to cannibalism so long as they are on the right side of the gated community. Antisocial fucksticks, the lot of them.

Just out of wild curiosity, is there a republican you would support over Ron? I extend this question to everyone in this thread...
Actually yes. Huntsman has been setting himself apart from the field by being pro-science, accepting that taxes are necessary, and has even taken some decent humanistic stances toward gays and minorities. I disagree with much of his politics, but at least he lives in the real world, unlike the rest of them. This isn't to say that I'd support him over Obama though...
I see what you mean!

I've decided to call devout Ron Paul supporters Paulbots. I know this will annoy Prolescum, but I've seen too much on the internet to see them in any other fashion. Any disagreement or any citation of words or speeches or even just referencing well known Ron Paul positions causes a Paulbot to run around screaming about trolling and threatening blocking or reporting.
Example:
Kenneth Dunlap - You do realise that Ron Paul stands directly in opposition to movements and expressions such as this... ?...
10:19 PM - Edit

Ramsez ******** - +Kenneth Dunlap What's he go to do with this? :) I can't vote anyway, not a citizen.
10:20 PM Translate

Billy ******** - +Kenneth Dunlap idk what you been smoking, but you are completely wrong with that statement.
10:20 PM

Kenneth Dunlap - +Ramsez ******** Billy is a Ron Paul supporter. Good guy, don't get me wrong. But still a Ron Paul supporter.
10:21 PM (edited) - Edit

Billy ********** - +Kenneth Dunlap keep up the trolling and I will ban you from commenting on my posts.
10:25 PM

Ramsez ******** - +Kenneth Dunlap lol, gotcha. Ron Paul has valid points...and at least he's not in league with the two big parties who pretty much run the show...so for all intents and purposes...he's on the same side as anon, maybe not approving of their methods, but still.
10:26 PM

Kenneth Dunlap - Why does a difference of opinion constitute trolling to you? Ban me, it won't make you more correct or a better person. If you hadn't noticed, I actually did just complement you and have been supportive in nearly every post you've made. If disagreeing with your political candidate makes you ban people, be prepared to ban nearly every person you've ever met, because nobody agrees all the time.

Notice that until this point I had a decent opinion of the fellow and never attacked him. I even complimented him right before he called me a troll and threatened to block me.

It really is a bit eerie watching the cult from the outside. The defensive and apologetic language and emotional reaction when talking about Ron Paul becomes more...religious with more and more people I talk to. Every single thing he does or says is justified and 100% agreeable. He has all the answers to everything...including the things you haven't yet thought of.

What I also find disturbing is the rationale of people who aren't really deep in the cult. "Oh he's not like the Dems or Rethugs so he's the one I'll vote for. I'll go even so far as to think he's compatible with my own beliefs."

Just like that, Ron Paul has a universal "god-like" appeal. Literally.

Only if you keep spraying it at people to whom it doesn't apply while pretending that criticism-by-unimaginitive-portmanteau is in any way making a valid (or funny) point.

If you're going to misrepresent my views, at least have the decency to do it somewhere I'm not a regular visitor. You should probably remove the real names.
