0:00 - 3:32 Repeatedly non compliant. Ordered to drop firearm in hand. Police handguns should have been well aimed not at low ready as serious threat to bodily harm at minimum is satisfied. As a result two officers are shot one noticeably taking hits to the right hand and as a result losing the ability to fire his handgun and staying in the fight. The other officers seems like he got shot in the dick.

Oh its going to get spicy!

Maybe it's just me? I'm not sure why you think things are about to get spicy.

As you said, they ordered him to drop the gun multiple times. They didn't even seem confrontational in how they approached or spoke to him (I know at least one officer had his gun in his hand, but even then he was walking casually with his arms swaying as he walked). He wasn't even the cop that got shot at first.

You can tell from the second camera that the suspect clearly drew and shot first. Even when the police drew on him, they only wound up injuring the suspect (from what I can tell, they only shot him in the arm). Even if they had killed him, personally I'd chock it up to a shit situation where you have someone else attacking you with a lethal weapon. I'd even call cuffing him justified: he clearly attacked the police first, so even if it hurts him to cuff him, he's already established himself as a very clear threat.

I'm unsure how badly the officers were injured here. I hope they're alright.

Maybe I'm just a minority opinion here, but personally I think that if you're purporting your opinion on this video as being 'spicy', then you barely paid attention to any of us in our previous conversations.

I've seen a lot of police shootings. Not seen many as clear-cut as this. I see no spice here.

Greetings,

I see nothing contentious here about the officers' behaviour, other than they gave the individual every opportunity to comply before shooting. If there was any fault in their actions it is that they allowed themselves to be shot before shooting.

If you wanted to discuss the US police's use-of-force, you could have posted this study. [1]

As for your "spicy" comment, as with your "Come at me bros" one, you've clearly misjudged your audience.

Kindest regards,

James

Inevitable given the people that are here. The topic isn't the only video I am going to post.

My analysis is basically saying to shoot the person in hindsight far earlier.

Cuffing him was justified right in the beginning where he was unlawfully being noncompliant. I fail to see the importance of the statement of cuffing him being justified after a shoot out.
I'm unsure how badly the officers were injured here. I hope they're alright.
1 shot in hand and 1 shot low in the body (dick comment).
Maybe I'm just a minority opinion here, but personally I think that if you're purporting your opinion on this video as being 'spicy', then you barely paid attention to any of us in our previous conversations.
Again not the only video I am going to give an opinion on. This is a thread not just a single video.

Felony evading police not mis. evading police. Justified.
I don't see that as justified. if anything it shows just how quick the police are in the states to shoot first, ask questions later. Probably more so given the driver is/was a person of colour. They could have blocked his way with their vehicles instead of shooting the suspect.

The reality is that the police were in the road and the driver is driving recklessly in order to escape arrest. Better to end here than in a high speed pursuit and a pit maneuver.

Here is another felony evasion that ended well. If you can't deal with blood do not watch this video as it does show a massive bleeder and a Tourniquet being used.

@ldmitruk Notice the driver this time was white and was still shot.

I'l give this discussion some more attention when I'm not otherwise occupied, but as is I have a question.

Is this it? Like, if you want to grab some popcorn and just chill while watching some body camera footage, then sure, but is there some greater point to be made here or are we just rating cop footage?

With the varied situations that are similar but not identical I want to see precisely where a general disagreement is relating to use of force even among these. I find that far more interesting than "uh ya they should have done that".

Rating cop footage, got it, lemme grab popcorn.

Nah, just fucking with you, dude. No one eats popcorn with sushi.

But seriously I'll check out the other vids and give my thoughts in, I dunno, an hour or so.
