Physics of Homeopathy

I could only watch the first few minutes. I had to laugh at the irony of her question "did you take high school Chemistry?" ... clearly she didn't. Or Physics either.

"E=mc^2 ... now if we cross out the mass..."

Imagine if people tried that in the real world....

"Sir, I know this report shows us to be in a lot of debt, but see, if we cross out the negative numbers then we're actually not in debt at all". I can't wait to try that one on my bank!

I actually saw a clip from one of the cable "news" channels that made a point like that: "If you cut out all the blacks and women, Obama isn't really that popular!" Yeah, if you cut out the 50% of the population that is women, plus all of the black people, then Obama's poll numbers that were over 70% positive at the time didn't really mean that people liked him. Because black people and women aren't really people...

Actually, we could adapt that argument to work for us. After all, Republicans aren't really people...

Scaly, I've never seen homeopathy summed up and destroyed that quickly before... with humor, nonetheless! Is this a tv show or something? Because if so... <3

"Now, energy cannot be destroyed humans don't know how to do that, so all we do is transform it from one form to another. So if that's all we do, guess what the definition of disease is? We have transformed our energy state from one state to another."

I have never seen such so many stupid statements linked together in a such a short amount of time.

Next time you see a homoeopath, ask them if they think alcohol is a drug, then tell them that if homoeopathy is true, adding more water to alcohol should make you get drunk quicker.

for the first time, I understand why some people want these things to be true...

In fact, I just realised that if homoeopathy was true, eating sweets with wine in them or eating rum cake should get you drunker than drinking absinthe.

Now that's a sorry video. Did that man say she was an eye doctor? What's in the water?

I don't even... what the fuck? how can people listen to someone that retarded? I got totally lost about 4 and a half minutes in. This is the most sick perversion of scientific theory I have ever heard.

even the metaphors are retarded

"my neighbour's dog pooped on my lawn! I'll blow up his house!"

I'm not sure I've ever seen someone be so wrong about so many things in such a short timespan. Be sure to dilute the video 30c before watching or it may cause an aneurysm.

Well, actually, if we use science instead of prejudice as a criterion for judgement, the only nonsensical statement is the removal of the mass which is the binding material of the universe.

She has tried to give an introductory explanation of how homeopathy works but not done a very good job of it. Most of what she has said is, however, accurate.

Although String Theory did enjoy a short period of popularity, it no longer has universal acceptance and, as it doesn't help to explain how homeopathy works, it was a mistake for her to include it.

Homeopathy is, actually, the proof that Quantum Information Theory is a correct description of the structure of matter and of life. It proves this by the one golden maxim, "does it work?" The answer is a resounding YES!!! Why should any other test be required?

'cept I've yet to see one conclusive well controlled scientific study that says it does work.

Oh, homeopathy works--it works so well that it's indistinguishable from placebo.

Where do you people come from?

I mean sure, I can understand if you've never been exposed to scientific theory or the principles behind it. Then it might be more reasonable for you to accept something as blatantly silly as homeopathy and the illogical statements made in this video. I know a lot of those people, I used to work at the Omega Institute in New York as a receptionist. They know there's no place for this in science.

You, however, will sit in front of us with at least a minute understanding of scientific theory and try to say that homeopathy fits perfectly with the rules and regulations of the scientific process! There is NO excuse for you to say, "Why should any other test be required?" It is absolutely ridiculous and really just goes to show you don't know what the hell you're talking about, although you try to pretend like you do.

Show me ONE double blind test (yes, placebo effect included) that is scientifically controlled and proves that homeopathy works. Just ONE, and then we'll talk about whether she just did a poor job of explaining it or not.
