Pen and Paper RPG players here?

A friend of mine is a game architect -- I don't know what the industry-proper term for it is -- he engineers game systems. I sometimes play various systems with him: his own systems, games new on the market, and ancient systems. He also collects vintage (if we can call them that now) systems that are rare or interesting.

I use the term "game designer" as the work put into making a pnp system and the process documents used in making a video game are quite similar, so might as well call both things the same title.

Has your friend ever had any of his system's published? If so, I'd love to know the route he took, as I am looking into having my system published eventually.

I don't play any RPGs, but I do play Warhammer [tabletop wargame], and I am totally convinced my dice hate me. I have a friend who would buy a new set of dice every time he lost a game. :lol:

I played Warhammer once, for about five minutes. I was supposed to be defending a castle. My first move was to fire my cannon. It exploded.

I played a lot of DnD and Star Wars back in the day, but not much since I moved. Paranoia is incredible though.
