As I understand it, it was more than simply shoving him out of the side of a helicopter. Though, that wouldn't be all that surprising. Rather, I think he was given a 'proper burial', whatever that may consist of. Additionally, it would've been a bad idea to bury the body as it could risk the place of his burial becoming some form of extremist shrine.Doc. said:By the way did they really throw his body into the sea? what the hell?
That's a very good point, my paranoia has subsided.nasher168 said:Obama wouldn't have made that statement if there was even a chance Bin Laden was still alive. If Bin Laden made a video featuring this morning's newspaper it would be a crippling blow to Obama's credibility and ratings. He would instantly become almost certain to lose the next election.

Al-Qaeda's #2 guy probably will take his place. Some guy named Ayman al-Zawahiri, who has been involved in terrorism a bit longer. From what I understand, he was involved in the assassination of Sedat in Egypt.

I heard they were considering it, but they also worry that it might seem like gloating and thus inflammatory.....Like the US hasn't been gloating anyway.
