MUSICIANS! REPORT IN HERE!

arg-fallbackName="TheAnMish"/>
Um, I guess I should report then..

But I'm more of a singer/songwriter, than I am a musician.

I play the piano, though :)

Another guitar man here, play mostly electric. I have an accoustic guitar as well but I never seem to get my groove on on it :) For some reason I much rather play accoustic on an unplugged electric than on a propper guitar for the job.

This is a bit late.

I'm a singer, musician, composer, and sound engineer, I've been pro/semi-pro since I was 16, and that was in 1988.

A list of equipment (if anyone's interested of course) :

Parker guitar
Engl Fireball
Laney Cabs (soon to be Mill's Cabs)

I'll be updating my rig very soon with a noise gate, custom guitar, Doctor Scientist RRR, Hardwire Chorus and some other bits and bobs.

Ooh!

I play any flavour of guitar - preferably my beautiful green tanglewood (tuned to DADABD for extra layers of
wistfulness) - ukulele, bass, banjo, piano, harmonica, drums (rock and steel), and arguably the most important of all, the kazoo.

I've always wanted bagpipes but live in the suburbs :(

I want to learn a whole bunch of instruments (and I prolly could if I had the money and attention spa- ooh shiny...). Here's what I'm learning to play, I don't think I'm that good at any of them but people tell me I am:

Ocarina
Drums
Harmonica
Vocals
Cello

I really want to get good at the cello and drums (I have a drum-kit and a cello) but there's no space to play them in my house .
I'm also doing some computer-composing, my stuff is scary as hell O_O It sounds like music you'd find in a Silent Hill game. I'm really interested in doing video game music. :D

Lol. Hardly for myself, but I have extensive training in Piano and have had a breif fling with the guitar. I still gravitate to the writing side of things, even if it isn't my strongest point.

Well I'm a drummer , I've been playing for about 6 years . I started out playing metal but now I really enjoy playing all kinds of music(ska , reggae, funk, latin ect).
I had piano and leasons for a few years in elementry and and I still play a bit, along with guitar and bass( mainly acoustic).
And it seems as if I'm the first accordion player to post as well.I 've been playing for about two years(self taught). It was fairly easy to start out on it becuase I can play a bit of piano.I'm play in a metal band with it. Frostborn! I'm fairley certan that Finsterforst sparked the accordion metal idea( I highly recomand you check them out if your into korpiklaani ,finntroll, equilibrium ect).

otherstuff:
didgeridoo
music composition with guitar pro , and Fl Studio(for electro-ish type stuff).

I am just a DJ and remixer, which was my way of meeting chicks without having any actual talent

Did used to play cello very well though

I do metal growls (but not in a serious band). It's just me and some friends that have fun. I'm not that great but I love doing it. I also play the piano, and I mess around lots on the keyboard. I love setting it to a xylophone-ish or a twinkly kind of sound, then devising spooky little melodies, similar in atmosphere to the Harry potter jingle. I also like inventing symphonics and melodics that would go into a symphonic black metal or melodic death metal. I also compose a bit in programs that let you do that.

Basically I just mess around with friends in our prefered genres. If I were in a real band, melodics and growling in a metal band would be where it's at for me.

As far as instruments go, I started out playing keyboard/piano. I still have the keyboard collecting dust, but haven't played on it for 10 or so years.
I also own a trumpet I haven't played on for two years now, a mate of mine borrowed it until he can buy his own.
Currently I play tuba in a small orchestra, and trying to teach myself how to play a bass guitar.

I am a singer - Opera, Jazz, Soul - and I play the piano just enough.
Will try out for conservatory this summer.
Wish me luck ;)

I play the trumpet. I played for a few years and got my grade 2 :) but then gave up because I had my lessons at school and got sick of lugging the thing there and back all the time. Needless to say, I missed playing it and I'm now clawing my skills back from the depths of my brain.

I play the (western) guitar. Have been plucking strings for 8 years, seriously putting effort in it for 2 months.
I proudly proclaim I have recently been able to add the (bar) F chord to my reportoire. Still unable to play: Bb.

Oh and seeing there's so many experienced musicians here... I would be forever grateful to whoever could tell me what chords Garrison Starr is using here (Superhero):

If by Garrison you mean the singer, then she's got a capo barring the 2nd fret, and then in the verses it looks like she's playing E, B, C, D, at fret positions 7, 7, 8, 10.
From the curve of her index finger she's not barring the chords,....it looks more like she's just playing the first four notes of a barre chord.

The chorus is C, G, D, at frets 8, 10, 10.

She's not playing full chords, so giving you exact names is tricky,...but in general terms the verse is minor and the chorus is major.

The one complicating factor is that the band appear to be tuned one semitone flat of standard pitch, so strictly speaking E becomes E flat, and so on, etc.

I hope that's helpful.
