Anyways, you want the coordinates for the portal? Like, you mean, the coordinates for each block on the bottom, or what? Why exactly do you neen a train system to the exact portal in spawn?

I need the general coordinates of the portal's location from the NETHER location.

Just divide the Overworld coordinates by 8 and you'll have the Nether coordinates. Height doesn't matter as long as it's the only portal in the vicinity.

The portals are being a bit buggy. I wouldn't recommend trying to establish a route via the nether. If you go through the portal near the spawn then go back through the portal in the nether you come out in some godforsaken desert miles away from anything. Better to build an underground railway I think.

Why not just warp to spawn if you need to?

My pint is that in trying to use the nether for fast travelling, you might inadvertently end up travelling somewhere else altogether.

well, just to make travelling a bit easier, I will make a place with portals or something to warp around. and that will most likely be the new spawn.

Guys... who took all of the water from the waterfall?

That took a FUCKLOT of work, who the hell took it out?

If you build one to my domain, can I direct the endpoint? I need to properly build traps and posit warning signs - also to build some raider challenge structures to test your wit and skill for ADVENTURE. :)

Is the server down?
I got a connection refused error.

The server was down for some hours, Ceb had warned us who were online a day before :)

I think you guys will be pleased with what i've done yesterday by playing there literally all day long, and night... till early 6h00. I went to bed and the sunrise was starting.

Anyways, I evened out a LOT of space, fixed some roads, removed abandoned projects, and added dirt where there were holes... jeez, that was a lot of dirt... I also started making a musical theatre. The inside is finished, but on the outside it looks like a big wooden box with no windows or doors. Design ideas appreciated.

I bet we'll go on now to find that Bedrock City has been filled in :p

Oh yes, those ugly holes! Filled them up with water, then I put some lava and TADAAH we get a cobble stone filled gigantic hole!

Oh, I also made a skeleton grinder together with Carmellcube. He explained the concept and design to me and I improved it by making a set of pistons that push stuck items to the collection area. Very decent drops for a mere skeleton grinder!

Took a shitload of work, though.... I didn't know exactly how to make the structure for them to be able to go down to the drowner but not get blocked, or shits like that.... Now it's perfect... and I LOVE to see those ugly bitches DIE!

It sucks, though, that I have to be near the mob spawner for it to work at all... or they don't spawn... aah not everything's perfect...

You lot seen this? It's a new mob for 1.8. They can presumably interact with blocks and Notch said on twitter "At least they no longer teleport when you look directly at them". I'm ever so slightly absolutely fucking terrified.

I know.

Scuttlebutt is that the Endermen will not wander into light, and it only moves blocks that users place...
So, I would suggest making all of your structures lit up around with torches.

:I

This makes my whole "mountaintop seclusion" thing not work as well.

Scuttlebutt? Sounds like a kind of rash... :p

The ideas from Reddit I quite liked the sound of were that torches went out if they came near them, that they wouldn't actually attack you unprovoked and that they would leave messages on blank signs. The first one I mentioned would be quite cool in caves, IMO. If one somehow managed to spawn nearby and wander into your lit-up areas, it would allow more mobs to spawn and attack you from the rear.

It took me long enough to stop playing on peaceful for fear of getting my buildings blown up. Now it's going to take me twice as long to work up the courage to allow myself to be faced with these things! D:

Before you know it, we'll all be sitting in our shelters wondering which lights in the sky are stars and which are eyes!

arg-fallbackName="nasher168"/>
We can turn up the brightness after 1.8 though, so it won't be too bad at least.

BTW, I may be quite inactive for a bit due to my PC screwing up and me needing to replace the graphics card with a shit one. Also, because I'm going on holiday for a week from Saturday. Please don't grief my castle or build within the border markers in the sea... it will be finished eventually and will be worth it.

Double post! Pow!

So Notch made three tweets an hour ago which basically turned them into the weeping angels... D:

"The Endermen are peaceful. If you look straight at them, they freeze and look at you. When you look away again, they run fast. And teleport."
"They run TOWARDS you, not away. So if you happen to look at one, do not look away."
"(they stop being peaceful if you look straight at them)"

I'm going to curl up in my little cliff-side house, averting my gaze from the windows and rocking backwards and forwards when 1.8 comes.
