Marijuana and every other drug.

You are quite correct, shanedk, however there's no need to shout.

With Joe, there is, because he has taken every opportunity to strawman libertarian arguments and ascribe selfish and evil motivations to us every single time he can.
I think iJoe is just a bit wrapped up in 'the harm that drugs do' and can't seem to get past that.

No, he's wrapped up in his worship of the Cult of the Omnipotent State. Anyone who gets in the way of that is the enemy to him.

These things have been explained to him NUMEROUS times, and he STILL lies about it.
A lot of anti-legalisation folk tend the go with the increase in drug addicts scenario, which seems to win over a lot of people on this argument. But when you really think about it this, will drug usage see an increase upon legalisation?

No. For the past 100 years, according to the best available data, the addiction rate in the population has been 1.3%, under full legalization (as it was in 1913), under Prohibition, under the War on Drugs, all of it, the addiction rate has been fairly constant.

Addiction is a psychological issue, not a legal one.

Hmm, I hadn't thought about pre-prohibition figures, never actually seen any, I will have to investigate further, thanks.
