Okay, so I pretty much gave myself the label of "nerd" now, but whatev.
Ive played since I was something like 10, starting with white, then blue, green, red, and finally meandered into black. My first purchase was an Urza's Saga tournament pack, and I still have one of the rares it came with.
Right now, my best deck is a green/black creature deck with Blood Tribute and Sanguine Bond, with Diabolic Tutors spread in the mix to make sure I get the combo, and my second is a red creature/burn deck.
Personally not into the newer sets, as they focus on specific, unweildly strategies (when integrated with my playing style (which is imobile because when I finally got freakin good at it and they changed all this shit), but there are some gems in there and the art has definitely improved (good, because that was one of the reasons I got involved itfp, and it has been good to see the newer artists take up the task so well. Sad that Ron Spencer no longer illustrates, that Ive seen at least).
I also got into the collecting part of it, and my collection breached 5k about a year ago with sets from Revised to Worldwake.
So, who else will plunge with me in the declaration of nerdiness?
