Is it normal?

There's different kinds of 'like'.

If you mean like in the taste sense, then no, you clearly missed the turning for bacon!

But like in the sense of damn, this HAS to be good for me, then you can kind of get to like all of it. Kale pushes that boundary a little for me, but here it is typically served in a kind stir-fried way with enough soy sauce and other herbs and spices to nearly completely cover up the entire taste of kale, and at that point it very nearly becomes palatable.

Cauliflower is something I like though, probably because it's white. Oh wait, wrong thread.
As a former chef, working for years in a fine dinning restaurant in Germany, all of the secrets of kale have been revealed to me and I could surly cook up a dish of traditional German 'grunkohl' you all would die for.

I might just die for it if I was given the option between kale and a bullet in the facehole. Depends on how I felt that day! :D

Kale should never be eaten raw because it it can contain parasites. It must be boiled with ham or prefer ably german kohlwurst. The juice from the meat helps break the kale down. Otherwise it's hardly even digistable. Boil it homemade veggie broth, a pinch of sugar and Bay leaf and a good spoonful of mustard. Serve the meat and kale with boiled salt potatoes and NO sauce.

You forgot the part of the recipe that says to toss kale into garbage before serving. :p

In a world where every rasher of bacon cost you 20 seconds off your potential lifespan, and every leaf of kale gained you 10 seconds additional lifespan....

How many bacon sandwiches would you eat anyway?

I'm assuming you laughingly dismiss the poor value represented by having to eat kale, regardless of the benefits it might confer.
With 20 sec for every rasher so lets say a year to sacrifice thats 1,577,846 rashers a portion of 2 rashers is 60 grams so that is a lot of bacon around 45 kilo.
