Is it normal?

The minimum is one potato - roast it, then mash it. :D
We have a consensus of experts. Both it is.

All other opinions are expressly dismissive of the expert opinion of a world-recognised minority and therefore racist.

No maximum presentation on a plate, only a minimum, despite what those racist Thai might say.

Since we've clearly resolved the spuds issue in my favour, we should move on to trivial issues.
People that choose turkey over whole baked ham are savages.
Well, one might think so, but this is a complex set of variables.

How much salt is going into the rest of the dish?

One does not, as *Food Wars* Boromir might say, simple serve a protein.

This seems an ill-considered plan, and may need some firming up or revision, especially in terms of, oh, I dunno, having a plan..?

Greetings,

Not sure - I think it's a cake. Or did I mean "twinkie"?!

Kindest regards,

James
That sounds like a disgusting euphemism to me (at least, that's what Father Declan said it was when he... you know...)

Last turkey I did by using a dry salt brine. Would that bring the sodium content up high enough?

Greetings,

A twinkie is a type of American cake-snack.

Here's my reference:

Kindest regards,

James

I'm aware of many Hostess™ confections. That tells us nothing about any potential euphemistic nature to your comment.

I thuink the umami balance would need to be watched closely.

Look, all I know is that I prefer my food be something other than dry and bland.

Fucking foreigners, coming over 'ere with their additional taste sensations! Sweet, sour, bitter, and salty was good enough for my father, and my father's father, and my father's father's father...

People who like kale, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli have no sense of taste.

There's different kinds of 'like'.

If you mean like in the taste sense, then no, you clearly missed the turning for bacon!

But like in the sense of damn, this HAS to be good for me, then you can kind of get to like all of it. Kale pushes that boundary a little for me, but here it is typically served in a kind stir-fried way with enough soy sauce and other herbs and spices to nearly completely cover up the entire taste of kale, and at that point it very nearly becomes palatable.

Cauliflower is something I like though, probably because it's white. Oh wait, wrong thread.

In a world where every rasher of bacon cost you 20 seconds off your potential lifespan, and every leaf of kale gained you 10 seconds additional lifespan....

How many bacon sandwiches would you eat anyway?

I'm assuming you laughingly dismiss the poor value represented by having to eat kale, regardless of the benefits it might confer.

Life's for the living. Longevity's for the long... err... dunno where that was going.
