Real mean WHAT use guns? Real mean morons use guns incorrectly. Smart people don't have those problems. I've got a gun, a bunch of knives, AND a really long sword, and no problems here.

Probably because anyone who tries to swing one of those winds up with a sword in two pieces. 99% of those movie prop swords are stainless steel and are too brittle to withstand an impact, and sometimes even too brittle to stand excessive motion... especially since many of them save money by having a shortened, very thin tang into the handle.
