Embarassing things like masturbation.

Eh? How am I supposed to know that? (And what does that have to do with it anyway)?

From the post were I mentioned them:

I think sex aids (and therefore, some sort of masturbation) were commonplace throughout history

Sticking penis-shaped things into your hoo-ha isn't considered masturbation?

You asked:

If you can find more testament forbidding masturbation among women in sacred text, I really would be curious to hear.

To which I responded:

I think sex aids (and therefore, some sort of masturbation) were commonplace throughout history (and pre-history), so I don't know that we'll find much outside of the still-active religions.

Alright, I didn't really lump those with sex aids.

Well, not if the sin of masturbation is in the waste of sperm. If it's just a cucumber thing in a hoo-ha it doesn't expend human life, and the definition of such is apparently in bibles. Or what I said earlier.

Well that's... weird.

Right, so the point of this thread is... to go over the common knowledge that according to the Abrahamic myths, male masturbation wastes life, and that menstruation is a curse continuously until we're all satisfied that the religious are wrong?

Okay, all done.

You seem to think my comment was more than a response to the following request:

I'm not getting into another pointless argument. If you've read my edit, I don't think I need explain further. You're focusing on the wrong part of my response to you.

Let's say I'm musing on the relationship between the two without making a decision. Still, I find it an attractive idea to ponder.

Also, I'm not sure how enjoyment or method of masturbation for either sex really has anything to do with my original question. I pointed out that I hadn't seen any passages directly prohibiting masturbation of females in sacred texts, and challenged you to prove otherwise. You responded by pointing out that women have been documented using sex aids for centuries (cool to know, I wasn't aware) but this pretty much backs up my position and I still question whether or not women have ever been explicitly prohibited from masturbation, or have they not for lack of wasted sperm?

Alternately, believe me, suffering the stigma and victory of menstruation is nothing to rejoice about.

So chill.

It doesn't; I stated that you're unlikely to find much. In the post you are focusing upon.

You didn't "challenge" me to do anything, you said you'd be curious to know if I had/could find anything in sacred texts, and I responded that we were unlikely to find it, especially outside the active religions. I'm not sure why I have to keep repeating this...

Yes, it does.

I was once told that here in Britain, there was no legal entity known as a "lesbian". I have no idea if that is true, but it was suggested that this was because they were incapable of having sex with each other. This might go some way toward explaining the attitude behind the lack of pronouncements on the matter...

So chill.

Don't take that tone with me, sonny Jim

Then wtf are we arguing about?

It's Jamie, if you please.

I think we'd severely undermine the meaning of drama if we applied it to this conversation... ;)

arg-fallbackName="Prolescum"/>
Jim Jamie thought my mentioning ancient sex aids was about contraception, when they were only given as a reason not to bother looking outside active religions for a possible "why" behind the lack of forbidding female wanking. If that's any clearer :)

arg-fallbackName="Andiferous"/>
Not terribly clear, especially given the fact that it is impossible for females to successfully yank on anything that might give them normal pleasure. Not to mention that there is no mention of either female masturbation or 'wanking' of either kind in any sacred text that I am aware of. Also not clear because the person who called me Jim seemed really upset, and awfully confusilated, to confussicate me. But C'est la Vie, it's okay really. :D

Wanking is the act of masturbation, yanking is not required.

Okay I get it now. So is this the "challenge" you thought I accepted? I think you confused yourself. As explained, my response was only to assert that the search would be fruitless. From which you somehow managed to glean something or other about contraception. It might serve you well to re-read the conversation in this light.

I'm afraid it's you who's confused. And I mean that genuinely, not as an insult or anything.

I thought you said Brobding female yanking, not forbidden female wanking. I'll have to think on the last statement, although I really doubt it'll change my mind on the terminology.
