Prolescum, you have been PM'd. Don't you chicken out! (Unless it's made with Parmesan, thyme, freshly ground pepper, lemon, prosciutto and extra virgin olive oil, kinda like this. See, no Basil. Checkmate! )

This is actually something me and my friends do for fun and it is hilarious arguing with all of your abilities something as silly as "Everybody should talk like a pirate" , "The government should subsidise skydiving" or "Old people should not be allowed out on a weekend."
We initially took the format of our arguments from the UK comedy show "Argumental". As well as the arguments often being ridiculous they are often quite anti-pc leaving the challenger having to argue for the inarguable, usually in an obscure and ironic way. There are a few formats of debate on the show but the first kind is well suited to forum activities too.
Here are a couple of clips of the show for anyone who has not seen it to give you an idea of the format.
Old people deserve more respect - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM5S2VyX_eA
Old people should not have sex - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA-zuU7XgGs
Piercing are classier than tattoos - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReNblghR-L4
A favourite recently because of its controversial nature is the first argument in this next episode (starts at 1:35). It is quite politically incorrect so if you have a sensitive sense of humour then save yourself the upset and don't watch it. :?
Kids working in sweatshops are the lucky ones - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3yj_9P-yv8
I'd be happy to debate some of the sillier or harsher issues, I like taking the harder or indefensible positions but I would need to know how sensitive the forums sense of humour is first!
If you need any topics to argue I have lists and lists of them from our games.
SpaceCDT said:"TV is better than Chipmunks." is a topic very close to my heart, as I've always strongly preffered chipmunks myself.
I think this is a great idea. I haven't done any form of structured debate for a few years so I could use a practice.

It will be a challenge to find someone who is willing to support the contrary because in this forum, the members truly find glenn beck and fox news as trolls, such as when either glenn beck or fox news adhere to the truth of things in which case their position is always biased.)O( Hytegia )O( said:Debate Idea:
Glenn Beck is a troll.
Force someone to argue the negative, showing support for Glenn Beck and Fox News.
xD

A better topic would be, revise the bible? For or against.
