Few people anymore don't know what 4chan and /b/ is. I mean there is even a 4chan group on last.fm... I'm sorry, do you feel special knowing about it or something? How about 7chan, 2chan, 12chan, 1chan, and the countless others. 4chan's become diluted enough as it is. It was a lot cooler years ago when not many people knew about it. Oh and your question still doesn't make sense regardless of overall. Did you try answering that question with only a yes or no?

What exactly is good about a meeting place for unproductive trolls...? I don't think "epic fail guy" is something that would be sorely missed. Granted, a few times there are actual reasonable discussions after filtering out dime-a-dozen trolls, but that doesn't make it a force for good. Hitler improved the lives of many people; fascism is still bad. /b/ is what it was designed to be; a place where people can expect mediocrity in its many forms.

the /b/-channel in 4chan is like the universe at planck time: The melting pot in the vast primitive particle space of the internet, all the raw material is being poured into /b/ and 4chan, and out comes new memes, idiotic humor and random pockets of nausea.

I think the comments are about offering two mutually exclusive options and asking, "Yes or no?"

Equivalently:

"Are you asleep or awake?"

"Yes."

The answer doesn't actually contribute any information.

If your options were: Evil or Good, instead of: Yes or No the poll part of the post would make more sense.

I think the website provides a good outlet and medium for humor and sometimes educational information; however, there is no reliable authoritative figure (parent, guardian, peer) to put some graphic and influential parts into context for impressionable and confused young people. So, both.

Educational? Have you seriously been to 4chan, ever? Never trust anything you hear or see on that site lol. Anything that can deem this up is obviously not a trustworthy source for anything lol. I'm not even posting the bad stuff of days past. 4chan takes the innocence away from anyone that had any left. Any child that goes to 4chan leaves a perverted or schizophrenic man, sometimes both. I just have you ask you irmerk, how would explain to your child (and no I do not care if you have one) the image of a man with his anus straight up in the air with a nice stead flow of liquid crap coming out of it almost like a fountain while a few other men watched? Because THAT is the kind of stuff you will see at 4chan my friend. Most of that comes out of /b/ anyways but none the less.

I'm going to rephrase that. It can be incredibly disturbing lol. You will find that less and less things in life bother you after spending a short time on /b/ because simply put, not much in real life is going to be worse. Ever seen an aids infected penis? Oh you don't want to? STAY OFF 4CHAN. Seriously lol, stuff like that has been seen before. It is a hilarious site but sometimes it makes you want to claw your eye's out and eventually that image will come that makes you do it.
