oh good pick Space Dust, Alpha Centauri is one of those hidden gems. Somewhere between Civ2 and Civ3, it is in every way a great game.

What's your modlist?

Do you mean what mods do I have for it? Only two. One that makes trees taller, more like a real forest and another that makes the weather more realistic and seasonal. I am however strongly considering getting Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul mod.

You only use two mods? You're missing out.
I can give you a bunch of mods that are really useful and that I - personally - consider a must have, if you want. I'll even upload them for you in omod format so that all you have to do is doubleclick the in the Oblivion Mod Manager for ultimate laziness comfort..

Well, in the last half hour or so I did download that OOO mod, but I didn't know about this mod manager thing you speak of.
I admit I've been rather cautious with Oblivion mods. I have several for Rome Total War and Mount and Blade.

Oblivion is a lot easier with mods, especially since you have this handy tool called BOSS (better oblivion sorting software), which automagically sorts the mods for you.

Here are some mods I can readily upload for you. Colorcoded for its - in my opinion - must-have factor.
Red being mods that I refuse to go without.
Yellow being mods that vastly improve (parts) of the game but could be done away with.
Green being mods that really just add some immersion or make nice changes.
I've left out minor changes that really don't add anything of worth such as Cathedral Improver and mods that, though excellent, are pains in the ass to install such as FCOM.

Alternative Start by Ship - Takes you away from the dungeon and puts you on a ship in the beginning, giving you the option to land in a port.
Better Cities - Overhauls Cities to include some new buildings and shops. Especially the Imperial City has got some work put into it.
Crowded Roads - Adds people traveling the roads between the cities. Just so you don't feel all alone anymore.
DarkUId DarN - Overhaul of the user interface. Makes the dialogues a leathery red to make them easy on the eye, and most importantly... it makes the entries a lot smaller so you're not stuck with 4 or 5 entries on a screen.
Keychain - Groups all your keys under one convenient entry. Removes that clutter that builds up as you play.
Kvatch Rebuilt - Slowly rebuilds the city of Kvatch after you have closed to Oblivion gate in front of it. Includes quests and everything.
Midas Magic Spells of Aurum - Adds a shop near the Arcane University which allows you to make spells such as summoning meteors... if the price is right and you have the correct material.
Qarl's Texture Pack Redimized - Retextures most of the game to make everything look a lot sharper.
Unofficial Oblivion Patch - Fixes many, many (gamebreaking) bugs left by Bethesda.
Realistic Force - Enables you to pick up and drag things around easier. Personally, I like to throw the bodies of bandits off of bridges and stuff like that.
Saddlebags - Put some of your stuff on your horse so you don't have to lug everything around.
Streamline - Clears the game cache from time to time and automatically saves at certain points for a much smoother experience.
