I would call him a scientist only if he passes it on. It could be secretive and only given to a select few, it could be shared out of greed, it could be out of altruism, but he has to pass it on. If he refuses to pass it on I would not call him a scientists, but something else. Perhaps as you suggested, a master bricklayer.
Agreed. I was speaking only to the process, while you have included the outward perception.

It appears, my good sir, that we are in a general agreement. Thank you for providing the motivation (which only works once--I'm on to you now), it has been a pleasure.

I am interested in astronomy and another meteorology, but I could only pick and meteorology wasn't one of the choices.

i'm fascinated by all of it, but i can't vote all of the listed choices
i'm not a scientist nor greatly educated in science so i find any nugget of scientific information/knowledge interesting

Biomedical engineering. Prosthetics, biocomputing, biorobotics, and whatnot. Not strictly science, but the application of science. It's also what I study.

strange how astronomy is such an abundantly popular field on here.
i think this is why it is the field that is most associated with "nerds"

before anyone says anything i am a self confessed nerd as i own EVERY star trek movie, every episode of the next generation, every star wars film, ect...

AndromedasWake himself is an astronomer, so I guess people who go to his YouTube or whatever followed to his website.

Sorry it is my fault, I wanted to specify the topics rather then have generic ones. But there are so many topics (and the ones that I wanted to put would still be a big list) that the poll can't even support it.

But you an slip Zoology under Biology and Geology under geophysics, if that is to much of a stretch for you then you can just slip it under other (like 13% of the cases).
