Wings are boring. Although it gie you the ability to fly, wings are extreme unpractical. And, I'm also slightly scared by people with wings (like in the X-Men movies.)

What about wings that can't fly , then they're unpractical and useless. Now apparently Moky would just use them as a fan but that seems sort of pointless.

It's mostly just for the cool factor. A tail would be more useless than wings because we wouldn't need it for anything. It would just be there. We can use it for balance but our balance is pretty good already.

Useless unless you lived on the moon, or some other low-gravity environment large enough to accommodate them. I'm thinking specifically of Robert Heinlein's story "The Menace From Earth."

Or we could just let those with the right mutations breed and don't let the others? Would take a long, long time... but not nearly as long as it would in nature.

And we'd know which ones to allow to breed by... well... I can't know everything
