Worst Billboard I have seen......

Just found this billboard. I really don't think I can describe it. When I saw it I just more or less just felt the jaw drop.

What kind of manipulative misinformation can't they stick up? Can anyone match this?

I'm not sure how I feel about that billboard, on one hand it makes me feel like "DON'T FUCK WITH ME CHRISTIANS, you seen the billboard, I'LL DO IT!" and on another it makes me feel like "Meh, just another fear tactic" and on another it makes me feel like "Let's go tear the motherfucker down!" and on another I feel like "Why won't they just leave me alone!?", but mainly I'm just shaking my head thinking some kid will read that, that doesn't believe in God or loses his faith, and goes kills someone and blames it on the billboard *edit* "The billboard told me to", just as "God tells" Christians to, it would be ironic that they post the billboard to "prevent" people leaving their faith and "killing people", but then they post this and someones gets killed anyway. This would be bad for the person killed (unless it was some evangelist, then I wouldn't feel so bad) but good for other atheists who would then have a more than valid reason to tear it down and rape the people who posted it and say in a stern, dis-approving voice "Look what you've done!!".

A webpage laced with logical fallacies in an attempt to justify a ridiculous mythological story about Earth's creation. Man, AiG is always good for a laugh. :lol:

Replace the word god with leprechauns and it's easy to see how stupid this billboard is. This billboard plays into the commonly held misconception that atheists really do believe in god, we just don't worship him either because we are angry with him or because we want to live in sin or whatever. I've heard this shit my entire life and really, I'm sick and tired of it.

My vote for an alternate caption.

"Do YOU know what God told him to do today?"

I find this kinda amusing, since the first murder, according to the bible, was committed precisely because God mattered to the murderer.

And, as far as bad billboards go, I think this one might be worse.

The blank billboard, at 4x

The font: Trebuchet MS bold 88px for the 4x billboard (which I use just so it's easier to add believable noise to the font), or 22px for the original size. The color is #273234. A 1px blur, with invert 2px blur behind at 33% alpha seems consistent with the original text.

RGB noise at 20% for both layers adds a bit of authentic-looking grain once saved to jpeg (with its added artifacts).

For plane matching the billboard, I found what works best: use the ruler/compass to determine the pixel size of the board, make a layer of that size, paste the text in the appropriate position on that layer, then use the perspective tool to reshape the layer to match the board.

Perhaps someone should change the answers in genesis link at the bottom of the billboard to the League of Reason (with the new caption of course) - then start distributing!!!

I love how AiG doesnt have anywhere where one could comment.
You could send them a 'newsworthy story'

To me it's particularly surprising that the image of a gun is allowed on there, I know it probably wouldn't get past advertising standards over here...
