Were to begin, right? Well, I should probably begin with why I'm here.

Yes, I am the same db with the headset you might have seen on YouTube, offering concern about this--yes THIS, group.
My channel has minor popularity, and I supposed the videos about the LoR would pass by with my handful of subscribers giving a thoughtful, "hm," and we would move on. I was not at all prepared for the response that ensued.

But I must say, it wasn't until I saw a video by this humble guy that I decided that maybe I really should make myself present on your boards.

I found at least one thread here referring to me, and was not exactly surprised by the hostility, at least, not after the response I've gotten on YouTube for the past few weeks. You are of course welcome to think whatever of me, but I hope you find my intentions in joining are sincere.

Well, I guess I'm not entirely sure how to move forward with this. I know a lot of people took personally a contention that essentially had to do with a few of the shows I watched, and a few of the members of the show panel. A handful of people seemed to express the same concern, and the videos took off on their own, now even more exaggerated with the debate I'm having with Sisyphusredeemed, which seems to be more on the topic of "proper faith" than the LoR. I, nor anyone who has given me a nod on this, is looking to attack the group, and try to make it go away. Like I said, we all are behind the goals of the group. The objection I had about the name, even if I could convince everyone I'm right, is a rather quaint conclusion, in my opinion. The counter-group was never intended to be an actual, functioning group, and those who are pushing for that, seem to be totally uninterested in the LoR, and want to make the "LIB" into an unrelated group of its own. Though, I cannot reasonably claim that I am completely a victim. I certainly made videos voicing objections, but I feel the objections I've had are hardly worth the circus that people have made it into. I apologize if people took it personally.

It should be said that it was no argument of mine that got people upset about the LoR. I rather believe I tapped into something already existing when my videos were made. There is a public opinion that this group is exemplified by certain, well-known, YouTubers. It is unfortunate, and unfair. And if I am in a position to help change the public opinion for the better, I would certainly be happy to do what I can.

Well, I'm impressed with anyone who is open-minded enough to give it a chance and with the courage to dive in despite conceptions or misconceptions. And I don't like watching Youtube videos. :D

The name can turn people off at times. Tonque-in-cheek doesn't always come across, and it took me a little while to pick up on it.

Anyway, look forward to seeing your posts around here.

Actually the most annoying thing about the name is when we get newbies in chat that expect constant intellectual stimulaion and we're just starting to go off on one of our random tangents. We're not a bunch of pompus jackarses that pontificate endlessly. But yeah, try chat too.
