It seems to me that religion has an enormous grip on believers, and by watching debates or topics that are basically an atheist trying to convince a theist that just blocks his ears with his hands and reformulating the same arguments over and over again (wich is what most theists do),
I am not sure if the grip can be lost, weakened sure (and don't get me wrong, I think that any theist that becomes atheist is worth it) but what is it we're trying to do? Everytime a theist makes a claim, we refute it, everytime they advance something, we know better (pinecones ), if nobody listens, why bother talking?
Re-reading myself, I guess I answered the question a bit ''any theist that becomes atheist is worth it'' but what are you guys' personnal motivations?
also fun
