Sure did. I do remember reading a travel log written by a Briton, and she seemed to have reservations about switching arms to shift, but I think it would be all the worse for me, as I am a rightie to begin with, so going to left with that kind of motion could prove tricky. And yes, I will forever have that fear of being on the road and having a panic attack thinking that I am on the wrong side and swerve into oncoming traffic. My cousin visited from Scotland, in the nineties I think, and even after two weeks she was still instinctively going to our driver side doors when we would get in the car. Seems pretty ingrained, I almost wouldn't trust myself :p
