What's the goal behind all reason here?

those who take soft action on religion are hipocrits, it is different when you obligate a person to not have his/her religions rights, of you question about with no polites or do not accept as correct their claims in particular points as cience or law.

people with religion deserve respect as people with none, religion should prove why it deserve respect, so long this does not happens we will critisize.

Technically, if they wouldn't become a negative addition to society I wouldn't care about them. But addicts do cause damage at some point so I wouldn't support it.

So, you don't see the religious as being damaging to society? I would have to disagree with that. If the religious could prevent their beliefs from affecting the rest of us, I wouldn't have a problem with them. But they do a great amount of harm to society in general. One only needs to look at religion in the news over the past ten years to see the harm caused.

I understand that there is a serious and political side of this, when a society isn't entirely secular or at least secular enough, and religious people want to run a religious agenda in the political arena which concerns all citizens, then I have full understanding of this high enthusiasm against religion. This is not what many threads and opinions on this forum seem to be about though.
You're wrong. Sure there are a few joke threads and what not where we're merely poking fun at all kinds of balderdash and poor religion takes it on the chin there, but MOST threads which concern religion deal with the ongoing religious agenda. On a personal level, I openly oppose religion because people should know that, "God bless you" isn't doing them any good, it's control. When every church and ministry has the same tax breaks and political lobby as UFOlogists, I'm sure I'll rest a little better and let them have their preferred delusions to themselves.
