Well, in that case, Barbara is the inarticulate one and Sherri is just trying to fight Elizabeth for the stupidity award of the day.Aught3 said:Well you got Elizabeth right, sorry should have made it clearer.
Embarrassing, but from left to right; Whoopi, Joy, Sherri, Elizabeth, Barbara.
No, why should I know who she is?Otokogoroshi said:You don't know who Barbra Walters is?! ><
Exactly, dude. If they wanted to have a logical and systematic approach to considering the both sides, it would ultimately lead to the fact that one side is science and valid, the other is superstition and does not apply to everyone.monitoradiation said:When are they ever going to stop parroting that "both sides" thing? It's freaking pissing me off.
Exactly again. If they ask for an opinion, they get it. Also, I am quite sure they take this out of context for the teacher probably explains to the little prick why religion is dumb. Besides, it is not an opinion that a creationist and religious belief contradicts itself when contrasted between any other creationist or religious belief. All the teacher was probably doing was pointing out this obvious fact and the little fucker told his mom and the mommy yelled and cried about the teacher being dark sided.monitoradiation said:And since when are teachers not allowed to voice opinions to students when they're ASKED a question? That's ludicrous. Teachers should not be allowed to teach things purely based on their opinion, yes, but if a student prompts them for their opinion, why the hell not?

Well that's kind of a major point, mainly due to Intelligent Design advocates and the Discovery Institute, as well as countless other fuckers like Ben Stein and Fox News just to name a few: Creating doubt of evolutions stability and validity is the ultimate weapon they have created. It has become almost common knowledge that evolution is just as plausible as creationism and both should be inquired about and respected equally. I mean, sure, like you said, it does not make sense, but the people advocating that it does all know that creating doubt in the populations mind is all they need to do.Otokogoroshi said:I can't believe Woopi was for teaching both sides.
We don't teach flat earth so why the fuck would be teach creationism?
Holy balls. See, if I were ever a teacher, I would stick to university where I could get away with it, or just be more subtle about it.Aught3 said:Here's a better summary of what happened from Ed Brayton.
Sadly, evolution is not the only science contradictory of religion and or creationism. They need to be consistent with their attempts and attack not only evolution but geology, paleontology, astronomy, physics, mathematics, etc. Actually, they need to attack all of science to be consistent.Trigshot said:I think it's bullshit that people want creationism taught in schools, just because evolution is taught. Evolution isn't a religion, it's a scientific theory that happens to be contradictory with creationism. If you want to teach religion, have your child go to a church, that's what it's for.
WTF is 'darwinism'? I'm aware of no such religion or theory
