I like darkmatter's style. Haven't heard about any lame drama though.
I'd rather the channels i watch regularly stay free of the sort of boring personal spats which turned tf00t's channel into such a clusterfuck of inanity...

CartesianTheist may very well be a creep and a douchebag, however, telling the people already on your channel that he sucks is akin to telling on the schoolyard bully to your cousin, he may be sympathetic but he is not going to change the situation. That doesn't mean that you can't call him on his bulshit but either report him to some authority so that they do something about it (like ban his IP or something), or just leave it alone, life is full of real drama and getting worked up over an internet troll is a waste of time.

I think Darkmater did a good job researching and exposing the TheCartesianTheist. I also do not believe the exuse TheCartesianTheist gives on his blog. Essentially, the writing style is a dead give away that all those post were written by the same person and not multiple individuals as TheCartesianTheist claims. However, I do think Darkmater's time would have been much better spent on better things, such as his art or videos.

I don't really know much what's going on but I did watch Darkmaters video and did read CT's reply and one thing cought my eye:
The good old "I have the evidence on my opponent evildoings but because I'm a good guy and have no intention to discredit my opponent I won't present it" -ploy. I find that highly dishonest.

I think holding debates online is fair enough, and can be quite productive. But in instances when the debate descends into petty trolling then I think both parties should be ashamed for their continued participation in the matter.
Also I think people who indulge in other people's internet drama and/or devote any of their attention to it should be ashamed of themselves....
