Very interesting talk with Lawrence Krauss, titled A Universe From Nothing
Only about half way though, but I'm finding it very interesting. A few questions that have been brought up here are answered. Well, one that I remember at least about the standard candles used to measure vast distances and what not. Also really cool animation about the spaces inside of a proton, which was apparently shown at the Nobel Prize ceremony a few years ago.

Also some really epic quotes. Enjoy. :)

I've only seen this in my youtube subscriptions today, so apologies if it has already been posted.

Awesome speaker. I almost thought I understood what dark matter was, about half way through, and then he said something else that meant it wasn't what I thought it was, and I lost it.

Also in my subscriptions but I haven't watched it yet. I will have to give it a shot.

Greetings,

My current favourite video...

I was sad that he skipped parts of his presentation - towards the end - due to time pressure; if I'd been in the audience, I'd have told him to please continue - never mind Q&A or book-signing (we could always bring the books to the next talk!).

Kindest regards,

James

Krauss is a very good lecturer; particularly, I've always been impressed with his ability to take very complicated ideas and translate them into simplified, yet almost equivalent, concepts.

I'm a student, but I do research in theoretical physical cosmology, and I've met him and have seen many of his lectures. He's an interesting fellow, though a bit conceited (Of course, not without warrant).
