He's not the messiah..he's a very naughty boy.

He ploy has worked well there are already quite a few fundies telling muslims how christanity is so much better than islam, because they wouldn't do it. I am willing to bet any money that there are no death threats..its the perfect cover for getting busted..and its also completely un-verifiable. And he knows it. Also why if its true is it not all over the news? Its his usual BS. And people are falling for it. I will also bet any money that he'll be back on YT by the end of the month.

I'd be willing to bet money on the exact same things!

I just hope he has rational parents who keep an eye on him.

It is very likely that he didn't get any death threats at all (not via his home address, that is) and that he's simply using it for various reasons:
- to cover up the fact that he got into trouble with the law and got punished by his parents as well
- to keep preaching hatred towards Islam, as he has done in several videos (religion of Satan)
- being a martyr, can get him a lot of followers, through his friends like Jesusfreak777. Returning at a later moment (resurrection) could give him a huge boost in popularity amongst these followers. Basically, they'll make a prophet out of him.

However, if he did get death threats by Muslims, it's exactly because of those videos, where he claims Islam is the religion of Satan.

So... maybe I'm the only one thinking along these lines... but these are some of the thoughts that went through my head when I first found out about VFX's recent departure.

First things first, I had to notice the similarities with a previous instance. He has in fact "left" youtube before. Last time he claimed that he had received death threats, and that he was scared for his family. He removed most of his vidoes, and shortly thereafter ( a matter of days ), he made a new video, trying to be all upbeat and exciting, about how VFX was back zomgz. Of course then I'm sure most of us have seen the false dmca claims video that thunderf00t posted, where he admitted to essentially lieing. Of course, this video never went up on his channel, but most of the rest of us have seen it anyways :).

So, here this time, we have his supposed story, that his parents kicked him off and took over his account, and recieved death threats from muslims. So, let's delve into some hypothetical scenario's, find some problems with stories, and see what makes the most sense.

Hypothetical Scenario 1 - Perhaps it's true that everything he has said is true. Maybe his parent's did really receive death threats from muslims. Maybe they really did take over his account and shut it down. If all of this is the case, aside from being thankful that he is gone, I do disagree with the method. Noone, not even shawn, deserves to be threatened into submission. If his parent's were really receiving death threats, then who can blame them for what they did, especially if they disagree with their son? However, some things to consider with this story...

Shawn probably lives with his parents, fair enough. We all see the bigass house in his videos. If they were supporting him, they would have the right to revoke privaleges, or force him to move out. Judging by his "commitment" to his faith, I would think that if given the choice to move out, he should, at least by his claims of what is important in his life, move out, and continue his ministry elsewhere, without his parent's support. His website however claims that his parents were taking down the site, forcing me to conclude that he either chose against his spoken beliefs, or that he was not given the choice in the matter. Judging by his age however, his parents would only have the ability to remove anything from his website if it was in their name ( which his donations money was *supposedly* supposed to go towards, in which case, it should be in his name ), and they should have 0 authority to touch his youtube account. Perhaps they simply removed his access to a computer, however he has since posted a video, with no images or sound, so this must not be the case. Perhaps they simply took his camera, but wouldn't someone so devoted just continue their ministry off camera? Perhaps he chose to shut it all down because he feared for their lives and loved them that much? Well why would the message on his website have been coming from the point of view of his parents, and his video seems to place the blame on them for shutting it down, rather than him shutting it down out of love for his family.

Hypothetical Scenario 2 - Perhaps not everything is as it seems. It's not the first time he would have used deception to meet whatever his goals were. Perhaps their were outside circumstances, say he was approached by the government, or threatened himself into submission. Would he not want to place the blame on someone else? Would he not want to look as much a martyr as possible if he finally had to leave? Maybe he is even planning a grand "coming back" to youtube thing... again. Maybe this is all a ploy to increase ratings and subscribers?

Maybe everything we've seen is the truth. Maybe it is not. What I have presented are some questions regarding the story, that can quite possibly be answered, but that lead me to skepticism on this particular story ( skepticism is my default stance I guess, maybe even more so when dealing with VFX ). Everything I've presented is really no more than conjecture, but still, would like to hear your opinions regarding it.

I had a lot more running through my head, but that ended a bit longer than I had intended and now I'm blanking, lol. I'll come back and post again when I've gotten sleep and remember what else was running through my head for possible ideas.

Riiiiight. Because the extremist Muslims are SO upset about his youtube account they are sending death threats.
Muslims did take local cartoons, add two of their own, take them halfway around the world, burn (Dutch?) flags....

After Thunderf00t's complete ass-kicking of VenomfangX, I now cease to see the point in even bringing him up any more. He is but a small drop in the bucket of deluded creationists out there who are running the very infrastructure of our society, making decisions that affect our everyday lives.

To me, it feels like sinking in quicksand, and the seemingly rare reason and logic is the only lifeline we've got left. Too bad people are too busy bothering with the sand, to notice the one thing that might actually help us.

Personally, I do not have a problem with preaching. The problem comes when they promote indoctrination, imposition of beliefs on others, and the dismantling and anti-support for science and civilization. If it includes any of that, I do not consider it a matter of free speech, for the negative effect of freedom imposed by them outweighs my support for their lack of free speech.

I might be digging myself in a hole for Joe or Ozy... Gulp.

Oh, but irmerk . . . how much preaching do you think doesn't fall into one or more of those criteria?

So Venom is back, but deleted all his videos again and posted 1 submissive video. "Oh no, the Muslims threatened me and I can't do anything now. Pray for me and keep doing the Lord's work..."

The fact that he has his account back, gives me even more reasons to believe this is just another trick, like last time he "left". I think he'll be fully back in a week or 2, preaching and posting videos like the previous times, but now getting even more supporters and subscribers, even more attention and if he finds a better way to get money flowing in, he'll have even more money. He's a con-artist and he won't back down if he profits from it.

My advice: whatever Venom does, ignore him. Don't make any videos about him, don't comment on his videos or website (yeah, he'll make a new website, I'm pretty sure of it), don't even make comments about him. A kind of Damnatio Memoria. Just forget about him.

Why? Look at it this way: his followers believe that, if you get reactions on your beliefs, you're being persecuted and if you're being persecuted, it means you're doing the work of God and should be praised. So if we keep responding to him, we simply acknowledge his beliefs and people will think he's really doing the work of God. However, if we ignore him and consider him just a small fish, not worth our attention, he won't get that many supporters either.

The more attention we give Venom, the more followers he'll get.

That means that Monty Python has more credibility as a prophecy than the Bible. I can imagine PCS's mother like that!

so i watched his crying "ohh poor me" video, am i the only one that when the line about Christians being the salt of the earth line came across thought "So they spread across the fields so nothing will grow there" and figured it to be a pretty good metaphor

Lol, that's EXACTLY what I was thinking
In fact, I would've said so in a reply, but I, as many others, am blocked.
