Muslim states are pushing for an act in the UN for an anti-blasphemy resolution that all partner countries must adopt. Making any criticism or marks on religion is a criminal law.

This is a violation of Human Rights of Freedom of Speech and the Freedom of Belief, Thoughts and Expressions.

I want to know what you guys think about it.

It is unenforceable, and therefore I don't think much about it at all. I wonder if this isn't part of the general plan to get Western nations to act like assholes towards Muslims, in order to prop up the fundamentalist Islamic leaders in various countries. After all, there's not much publicity if you just shrug your shoulders and ignore them.

I happened to make a thread about this almost a month ago.

Also, I think you are oversimplifying the significance and effect the U.N. has on a lot of different aspects, Joe.

Not much offends me but this sure as shit offends me. I laugh at the idea that they get soooo offended when someone says boo about their precious religion. But wouldn't it go both ways? Aren't extremist Muslims often very critical of the so call xianists? It would be funny if it passed and they got in trouble.

But I hope it doesn't, it is an affront to free speech and the basic human right to THINK FOR YOURSELF.
