Underestimating the stupidity of christians? Don't.

Well, it certainly fooled me one whole day. I think my brain switched to selective reading, and I didn't even notice how ImprobableJoe just made fun of me. I'll have to watch that damn brain.

The fact that I didn't even notice the difference at first speaks volumes about how crazy the fundamentalists have become. I mean, the stuff in these forums isn't that removed from what some of the people out there are really saying. It doesn't surprise me that some of those people wouldn't realize it.

To be fair, it is a really old and elaborate hoax with great "production values." It wasn't like you got tricked by amateurs, those folks have been around since the mid-1990s.

Eh, if you watch any of Edward Current's videos (which you all should!), there are plenty of responses from atheists who don't realize it's satire. I was pretty surprised at first, but it only makes sense stupid people exist on all sides of an argument.

However, it really does terrify me to think there are people as stupid as some of those on the forum you linked. "That video is an excellent summary of the proper Christian attitude toward arrogant know-nothings, uneducated braggarts, illiterate provincials, and other scientific types." :shock:
