Ukrainians and Russians

It's hard for me to differentiate them. One either is from Russia and family comes from Ukraine or visa versa. As an American living 20 years in Europe, I have never experienced such kindness from any other people as I have from them. They are very kind to Americans. More so than any other people in Europe. They even helped me to have a special birthday party last year. They call me often and tell me that they love me and even after all these years I am still treated like a king when we go out together. Even a very rich man whose family owns a company in the Ukraine would pick up my dirty socks for me when we went to the sauna together. I never will forget that.

It breaks my heart that these 2 countries are fighting now. I know that there are very good people on both sides and I will probably never be able repay them for their kindness. Every Russian I know would love to have a chance to do something nice for an American and the same can be said for Ukrainians also. We should not be enemies.

I was wondering how long it might take for the topic to be created here. I thought about making a thread the other day. It's a strange situation, I've been keeping an eye on developments. So far it seems that Ukraine is doing a fairly remarkable job of repelling the Russian invasion, which is probably annoying Putin no end. And that's good.

Ukraine will lose. They are certainly go down swinging out like a bomb and not a candle. Russia has too many resources even if Putin wants to keep infrastructure mostly intact. I think its something like 17 to 1 numerical advantage?

It was ridiculous that a customer called in to inquire about firearms exporting saying he wants to donate firearms to Ukraine. I told him the logistics of such a thing and he stupidly thinks he is going to get through firearms export law and that a couple of cz 82s are going to turn the tide - ridiculous.

Also he has no idea the cost it will incur on him personally. Whatever though I am tired of dealing with purposefully stupid people at work. It is always some dumb mall rat amazon gun smith or some dumb person just assuming they can do something regardless of well known federal law.
