I'd love to say I'm surprised, but I'm not. RIP Asia. RIP Tony.

Tony was an outspoken creationist, but it was clear he had very poor judgement, and I'm not surprised to learn he had problems with depression (I watched only a few of his vids before filing under "ignore"). It's important that we keep it clear that he did what he did not because of his religious beliefs but because of his mental and emotional state - religion is a symptom, not a cause.

I think TAA sums it up perfectly, even though PCS isn't to blame, the arrogance tied into theism caused this. Whenever you presume one way or the other over life and death beyond your own, you are in fact allowing yourself to become less humane.
