Tragedy involving Tony48219

Hey all,

Apparently Tony48219 has been involved in a major tragic incident, resulting in the death of himself and one other person.

Here are two videos on the news story:






I think we all know that Tony was out there, but I for one never thought this was even a remote possibility.

Truly a human tragedy.

I didn't know him, but this is tragic. Even if he wouldn't be a video blogger it would be tragic...

With more and more people creating online presence around themselves it's likely that announcements and motivations for deviant acts are going to be spotted in public more often, but that doesn't mean they're going to be prevented...

Urgh. Why did he have to go and take someone with him?! Don't get me wrong, I didn't wish him to die or anything, but an innocent woman died because he was a nutjob...

I think what Whisper said is part of the problem, because he was a bit weird, people probably didn't take his talks of suicide seriously and nobody tried to help stop it, and he is certainly someone who should never have been anywhere near a gun (but in my eyes there are very few people who should).

This is reminiscent of naturalselector89 and TheAmazingAtheist. TheAmazingAtheist said he was dangerous, but people called him a bully, then naturalselector killed 7 people in a Finnish school. It made international news.

Wow, I knew this guy was deranged but I thought it was just a normal kind of deranged that you see all over youtube - a purposely exaggerated caricature of crazy.

Very sad. Hate to see it.

I think I feel the most for his parents. Not only do they have to deal with their sons suicide, they have to deal with the fact that he murdered someone else, just prior.

Sometimes a pipe really is a pipe. I suppose the lesson here is that, despite the widespread belief that if it's on the 'net one should view it with heaping piles of salty scepticism, sometimes (perhaps even most of the time?) what it looks like is what it is.

Sad from any perspective.

Its a bit shocking really. I thought the guy was weird and a bit misguided but I never thought he'd do something like this. Didn't anyone who actually knew him try to help him at all? It is sad. My heart goes out to his family and to Asia's.

It really is sad especially for Asia but I can't help but feel disdain for Tony, mentally ill or not.

True. He really did strike me as a nut. I don't feel much for his loss, but I feel for his parents and Asias's parents.
