It's a time-worn classic. It's almost as effective as knowing shit.

Had occasion for the first time in a long time today to talk about Morton's Demon, and it occurred to me that it applies equally well here. Anything not directly supportive of the idea (let's set aside that we still don't really have any idea of what the idea is) is simply rejected as the product of insufficient thought or understanding of the brilliance.

Would you therefore consider the possibility of reducing it to something more concise - preferably its absolute minimum

You're free to try, because the .txt file is part of just half of the overall video project, which is not JUST a video project, but includes external links to other "things that I've made" and to other sources that I linked.
So, any luck Surrep?

Aye, interesting.

BUT the first one... I was confused with the guy who made the political stance of Egoism, so I looked for that name...

Ayn seems to have the right idea, but maybe it's not explained in a way that everyone may understand it.

As I've already said: the lifeforms don't live for themselves alone. Altho they may if it brings an advantage it's not a given. Remember the flyers that live just one day?

Ayn says that you should do things because you genuinely want to do them, not because someone else told you to.

I am a Fatalist ANCAP, I've explained in the project what that means.
If humanity reached the point of global ANCAP, where everyone would be really free, without having their freedom stolen away either by their education, the place or the time in which they were born, a world of interconnected people, without hate and without religion, may give birth to the true golden age for humanity, in which we understand our place in the world and thus are able to better it, both on an individual level and on a specie/race/whatever level.

What Ayn said is right. An example would be:
>Would it be considered charity if someone stole your money and gave it to someone else?
>Would you have done a charitable act if you didn't want to give your money to a person in need but the previous point happened?

Thank you, thanks to you I've found another person that I mostly agree with:

Yep, just as I thought.
Some ANCAPs that I follow are against Ayn on some grounds and I now know why:

Who are you talking to?

You can't be talking to me as you've childishly stated you won't talk to me anymore. Yet you're replying to my post above.

Mostly though, isn't it funny that you hold this conversation with yourself in public when the very criticism both of your wordy intro and your offerings here have been about your self-indulgence.

Inappropriate Language
Lucky you checked in with someone else who told you what to think.
To this I NEED to answer because, and I don't care if it's agains the TOS because it DESERVES it, it is an EXTREMELY retarded thing to say!

I have no time to find Ayn's (or anyone's) books, even less to read them (because I've stuff to do). That video exposed EVERY point that Ayn had against anarchy and, for the people that unlike me don't already know, they explain WHY Ayn was wrong.

By YOUR logic learning is a thing that just stupid people do because they listen to other people to know how things work when people explain "stuff" correctly.

Please, stop wasting the oxygen needed by your brain to compute such stupid sentences.
Plus
Who are you talking to?
WE ARE NOT TALKING, WE ARE WRITING.

I made that post to leave said that I've learned something new about Ayn and, so, changed my view about her.

Not everything revolves around you.

Now, back to ignoring you.

You don't NEED to do any such thing. And if you show no interest in the TOS your removal from this forum will, shall, be imminent.
This is your last warning, if you do this so much as ONE more time - you're gone forever. Stop, think, consider.
I have no time to find Ayn's (or anyone's) books, even less to read them (because I've stuff to do).

I have so much stuff to do that I won't do any research but I will definitely find the time to log in here and shitpost.

Using jokes/memes to react/answer to other comments is not shitposting, it can more easily convey emotion through a chat.

Me showing that your removal of my account's ability to ignore people does not limit my brain's ability to do the same is to show that that petty move meant nothing.
I brought facts here and, other than a couple pleasant comments, I got insults covered as "FaIr CoNsTrUcTiVe CrItIcIsM" or just straight on directed insults such as "You like something said from Person X which I DON'T like? [vomit gif]", which sound pretty direct if you ask me. I'd like, instead, to see anyone trying to tackle even ONE argument from my project instead of... whatever this is.

In addition: doing no research? Are you kidding me?
I don't need to do to an excavation to (in this case) find out what Ayn said by opening rocks and finding a fossilized book. How far back must it be pushed to be "doing your own research"?
You can't read books because you're reading what other people researched by their own. You can't read scientific papers because other people did the work needed to find out le stuff.
Your only option is to do every single experiment yourself, discover everything and build a time machine to ask stuff to the people in question directly when they were still alive.

P.S.: saying that /saying X/ is "a retarded thing to do" is not the same as calling someone a "retard". It may have a different weight in english or a different meaning in this forum, but that's how we use it where we live.
I said that I didn't know if it was a TOS breaking action and didn't care both because I didn't remember and because it needed to be said.
What I said is true and nobody can actually deny that, to do such is to say that you can't actually learn anything from other people because "you must figure out everything by yourself" or something as dumb.
If my account gets deleted because of something like this, as I already said in our DMs at the first report, I would be more than happy to be booted off.
You all hold no true power over me and to silence me instead of addressing my points is the utmost proof that you can not rebut them in any way at all.

This is Isaac, expert in being right and being perfectly capable of explaining why I'm right but getting negative responses because people don't like neither to be wrong nor to fight their dogmas, closing the message (idk how to close a post and I don't care).

Epic levels of LOL.

The only thing impressive about you is your ego, and no, that's not a compliment.

Greetings,

Pity - I would have been interested to find out why he thought Aron was wrong about (the problem of) consciousness.

His introduction did meander/was rambling. It was difficult to read from start to finish without losing interest. He made various claims in it without citing evidence - if he was going to do so in his follow up videos, he didn't indicate it. And he never really indicated what was his over-arching idea linking all the things he mentioned - evolution, politics, groups, societies, cultures, etc.

I don't know about the reason for the ban as I (and others) aren't privy to whatever transpired between him and yourselves as Mods in DMs but it's a pity we never got beyond the "Is too! - Is not!" stage.

Kindest regards,

James

If you read through the entire thread (tedious, I appreciate) the reason for the ban should be manifestly clear. In fact, his last 2 posts should make it equally as clear if you don't wish to torture your way through the evident narcissism, refusal to engage with the most well mannered of criticism, the insults hurled at other members and the desire to 'school' people decades his senior, in topics they've been studying for longer than he's even been alive.

arg-fallbackName="*SD*"/>
Oh yes and his stated disregard for the TOS. I could add more, but there shouldn't be any need.

arg-fallbackName="Dragan Glas"/>
Greetings,

I had noted his posts throughout the thread and had just put it down to the usual pattern of those who come here certain they're right.

I always see banning as a failure to get through to them. I think that we should be able to rise above their flaws in thinking and behaviour.

As I said, it's a pity.

Kindest regards,

James
