While his accounts could I guess be false, or exaggerated.... Seems like he is genuine and Guantanimo is a dodgy place....

It is consistent with statements by other ex-prisoners. Guantanamo is a stain on America that not even the strongest bleach will remove. Like the blood-soaked British Empire, the American one will always be remembered for the depths of its nastiness.

It's alright, I'm sure there will be a new empire to take its place soon enough.

Much of Mr Madni's chronicle of humiliation, intimidation and torture cannot be independently verified,

I've said it before; anecdotes are not evidence. Also, consider the source; might a former inmate lie about his former place of incarceration?

You may have said it before, and you were incorrect then, too. Anecdotes are evidence. They are the weakest and least reliable form of evidence but they are evidence.

Of course he could be an exaggeration, some of what he says is "known" to be true, we know they used to waterboard, sleep deprive, play loud music etc.... We don't know for sure they told him to confess to things he didn't do, that's just his word really.

It's sad this place still exists though >.<

I'm guessing some asian empire, like the chinese, japanese or korean.

No Arthur is right. Obviously since we only have this guy's report on the conditions inside to go on, the better strategy is to assume that this place

is filled with sunshine, rainbows, and unicorn giggles. Clearly anyone who says otherwise has ulterior motives.

Let's also ignore that his psychiatrist confirmed that he had become addicted to morphine, and that he apparently didn't get a lawyer until he was nearly dead, and that was only for a day.
