I don't believe in miracles, but occasionally I raise people from the dead
Oooh... you'll have to explain the process. You can't just say that without detailed explanation, you know. Not here! Besides, I wanna know, that would be so cool!!
What he does is put dead people in elevators and then makes them go to a higher floor. That is raising the dead right?

Do you put dead people in elevators by tradition? How bizarre. lol. Why?

I can see the connection, and it did make me giggle, but I'm more interested by the hidden wisdom of bringing people alive again. :D And not as a cynical arse, I tend not to be that way, but as a wanna-be-naive-person who can appreciate humour when fooled. ;) If that doesn't make sense to you, forgive me, it's only me.

I dunno I was just trying to think of the most absurd thing I could say in response to this topic...

I apologise, I was 'taking the piss' a bit there too. ;) In a nice way. Methinks I've watched too much Harry Potter this weekend. And the possibility was also very exciting. ;)

But does this mean you've got no latent superstitious traditions? You're not quirky or funny in any way...

Not any that immediately come to mind. I am sure I do have some quirks, just that I am so unaware of what I am doing half the time that I fail to notice them :p

I watch fantasy anime, series, and movies. ^,,.^

I watch Star Trek, but I don't believe it.
I watch Harry Potter, but I don't believe it.
Etc,

Not many quirks, people do tell me not to Jinx things, which is when I do it.

I don't believe there is such a thing as true love, but that changes every time I meet a nice girl, then changes back for some reason after it all goes wrong... Which is why I don't believe it, but I'll probably forget that I don't believe it again next time I fall in love

Ohh the confusion!

I forgot something. DICE in RPG's. Although I know it isn't true, I am highly superstitious about my dice. If I am playing and a die rolls bad, I change it with another one.

Good grief, yes :D
I also have a knack for announcing my 1 rolls on a D20 :p. "Wanna bet this is a 1 again? ... YEP!!!"

That's the same here.

When grabbing a large group of materials for a project (Rebar, nails, screws, clothes hangers, etc...) I nearly always grab the exact amount of objects that I need by chance. I just reach in grab whatever and it turns out to be the exact number. It's happend more than getting too much or to little. So yeah that's my super power....I estimate precisely. lmao.

I don't think there's a single PnP gamer who doesn't do this. It's just part of what we do.

I believe that I need to breath, but sometimes I forget to do it.

I believe tea is the answer to life's questions. :p

exclaim "jesus" and "god"

of course I always try to make it a little more colorful and/or blasphemous...

"jesus ass fucking mary that hurt!"
"jumping jesus on a pogo stick!"

also someone mentioned Dice earlier. I'm very superstitious about my dice. I don't let anyone touch them, ever - it taints them and makes them unhappy and I have to buy new dice. :(

I have a collection of "whore dice" that I let other people use. These are dice that have been previously tainted and thus unceremoniously dumped into a Crown Royal bag. My dice get a special dice tin. Also, I don't switch out poor rolling ones - instead I use the poor rolling ones because they'll do better the next time around. I'm an optimist.

Haha!

Isn't that the original definition of curse, though? Why they are so horrible by memory and association. They were shocking and blasphemous and developed their own kind of power. God's teeth! God's blood! How shocking ;)

I tend to correct people when they make an error, even if it's obvious. However, it doesn't work, because they're rationalizing the situation to suit their own beliefs.
